Nikau's wolf form was a sight to behold. His fur was a rich, golden color that seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. He was lean and muscular, his legs ending in powerful paws with sharp claws that could easily tear through flesh. His tail was long and bushy, and his ears were tall and pointed. His eyes, once dull and filled with pain, now shone bright and alert. He was a magnificent creature, and I could not help but feel a sense of pride and gratitude to have him as my companion.

I tried pulling away when I heard them running up the stairs. It wasn’t until Erik’s hand was placed on my shoulder.

Trembling, I reached out to wipe away the thick layer of condensation fogging up the large mirror. As my reflection cleared and became visible, my chest tightened in absolute, paralyzing horror. My long-standing black hair, starting from the roots beneath the warm water, was rapidly turning into a pure, pristine white, like the first snow of the season. My near-sighted eyes, blurred without glasses, could now clearly see every single crevice on the wall, but my pupils had shifted into a feral, vertical slit of icy blue. The rustle sounded again, closer this time, and Reyland faced the direction of the noise. As he stared, a brightness started to glow from within the trees. More rustling, then, without warning, the largest wolf Reyland had ever seen stepped out of the darkness. I was a light grey, almost white fur, with a white underbelly. The wolf had bright blue eyes. Reyland gasped and fell to his knees. The wolf eyed him, then approached slowly, large paw after large paw.

Alpha Lowell, who had come out of his room after hearing Ultima Wolf Ray's voice, rushes over to Howl Wolf Thor. He puts two fingers on his neck. "His pulse is weak," Alpha frowns.
