Well, I have a few. One: Briar. Over the course of the week, he's been going in and out of the camp, "strategizing" with the other members and "reinforcing" their fight power. It's all a bunch of bullshit. He neither strategized nor reinforced anything but my hatred for him. Every time I passed him by, he would give me this knowing smirk, like he knows I feel absolutely mortified about the whole thing. Well, I still am, but my desire to wallop him overrules pretty much everything else.

Derrick teased huskily. "I-I know you b-believed I was-was someone el-else," Briar gasped in embarrassment as she snapped out of her thoughts. She remembered how his mistress looked at her in disgust. She was beautiful and... Briar wasn't on the same tier or even her sister's tier. "You-You couldn't poss-possibly want m-me." "What do you mean?" Only confusion and a hint of anger colored his tone, causing her break out of her throughts.

“What do you need me to do?” “I need help,” I whispered. “I can’t do this alone. I need a plan. An out. I can’t let him win, Briar. I can’t lose myself in that place.” Briar took a breath, then leaned closer. “I’ve already started something,” she said in a hushed tone. “I knew when the bond clicked into place that he found you. I’ve been watching him. Making connections. There are others—people who want to see him fall. And I’ve been working with them.”

“Yeah. I just moved to Vargo—really, it’s my first week in the big city. I—you startled me, but I’m okay.” “Good to hear,” Bri murmured, taking a careful step closer, her eyes flickering with intent—and something unmistakably like lust. They stood like that for a beat too long—stillness thick with heat and something unspoken. The memory of pain still clung to the edges of Bri’s mind, but it no longer owned the space. Something else had moved in. Warmer. Riskier. The woman smiled, shy. “I’m Claire.” Bri’s lips twitched upward. “Bai Ryeong. But most people call me Bri.”

Bryar asked happily. “We are going shopping.” She replied and Bryan groaned. “Can't we just stay home?” Bryan asked and Blakeley frowned. “No.” She replied and he sighed. ******* HOURS LATER AT NIGHT Bryar stared at herself in the mirror and smiled, she admired how beautiful she looked in her dress. The maid who dressed her up also smiled and Bryar turned to her with a smile. “What do you think?” She asked. “You look beautiful ma’am.” The maid replied and she giggled. The black flora gown looked so pretty, it had diamond stones all over it which made the dress look so unique.

I hadn't anticipated her mates wanting to keep her locked away from everything, and unsure how they managed to get her in there as she didn't seem the type to not put up a fight. Seeing her in there with baggy clothing and a pillow bed made more sense, they moved her in her sleep. "Don't touch the bars," Brianna said as soon as we stepped into view, "they are silver melted with wolfsbane," she was pacing and antsy to get out. "Extreme," Eathen muttered about the bars, but I could feel how impressed he was, and curious, which meant he was thinking of how to do the same at Timber. Brianna went to thank us, but she dropped to her knees, I could feel the pain rolling off of her, and had to brace

"You don't have to sit down like me to pee you know." “I can’t if someone is watching me, twig.” I grinned. “I bet they want to know about my pee as well.” “Just go, pee, and come back,” Gael interrupted us. “We need to find a place to stay before sunset.” I marched first toward the tall grass that almost reached my knees. “Careful, there could be snakes underneath.” Iris shrieked, jumped, and ran closer to me. “Not funny!” “Just warning you, twig. We may be invincible to the virus, but not to the venom. Come here.” Before she could reach me, I scooped her and threw her over my shoulder.
