“Sure. Mr. Mysterious is a vampire. Vampires aren’t real... Are they? No. That’s silly. He was in broad daylight all day today. But damn, he’s weird.” Ava spent hours looking for information on the man. She found no trace of whom the Constantine family was behind the scenes, only known to be the most influential tech company in the world. Researching the name of the company, Ava gasped. Apollyon: The angel of the bottomless pit in the Book of Revelation. “Holy shit! Maybe he is a vampire.” Sitting back in her chair, she thought about the possibility. Too many scary references over the past hours had given flight to her overactive imagination, as usual. Her years of curiosity in urban legends

This was where I met him—Ragnar, the rogue I’d fed coins and secrets to for years, my shadow, my blade in the dark. I pushed through the creaking door, my eyes adjusting to the dim light, my heart racing as Ragnar stepped forward, his hulking frame scarred, his yellow eyes gleaming with hunger. Not Darius, the warrior I’d pitched to Marcus, but Ragnar, a rogue so vile even the BloodMoon pack shunned him. He was my secret weapon, loyal only to my gold, my promises. “Veron,” he growled, his voice rough, his claws flexing. “What’s the job?”

Everyone looked taken back. A dark hair man said, “Humans can’t be a Luna.” Another said, “I will never follow a human.” Shocked by their boldness, I used my Alpha voice. “Enough! By the law you are to obey your Luna, the Luna is the mate of the Alpha. Melony is my mate and your Luna. Anyone who so much as thinks about laying a hand on her, I will kill you. I will make this pack great again, but do not think for a moment that I will allow anything to happen to my mate. Is that understood?”

Sagon eyed me and asked if Lucifer told me what was going to happen. "I miss the child," he said sincerely and I grinned slightly and sat down to tell him Noah's darkness was coming sometime and my blood wouldn't stop it. Sagon scratched at his head and said, "wasn't your mating with Noah supposed to stop all of that from occurring?" I nodded and said, "yeah, someone obviously fucked up. Anna I've heard is the Goddess of disruption aka Apate so she's controlling Brenda and Noah. I'm certain she's the one behind Noah's darkness getting ready to explode." Sagon grinned devilishly and told me he would gladly mate and mark me. I giggled softly and told him Dagon told me the very same thing once.

He must finish the old king before the old king finished him. “It’s because he made a deal with a very powerful witch,” Ragnar replied. He had decided to take a chance with Cory. But he wouldn’t tell Cory about the Moon Goddess’s relic. It was just too dangerous to let someone like Cory know the Moon Goddess’s relic really existed. “He offered the life of his first son to the witch in exchange for overwhelming power and living forever. You must have noticed. He has become an old man, but his power hasn’t faded at all. Guess the witch has lost her patience,” Ragnar said, “She must have given him the ultimatum and asked him to kill me as soon as possible.”
