Sweat mixed with water dripped down his face and his heart pounded in his ears. Please, Amara, please. He pleaded. Tears blurring his vision. Suddenly, Amara gasped. Her body jerking and water spilled from her mouth. She coughed violently, her eyes still closed, but she was breathing. Damon exhaled in relief, his hands still on her chest. As he watched her carefully, he heard footsteps rushing toward them

“You found us.” I couldn’t breathe properly, but I didn’t care. Reece was here. He actually came. The next second, everything blurred. I heard the shift before I saw it. Bones cracking.
