Redemption An Amos Decker Novel 5 Novels & Stories

He paid no heed to the blood streaming down his forehead as he crawled on the ground like a worm, slamming his head against the floor repeatedly. "Nicole! I'm sorry! I've realized how wrong I've been! Give me another chance! I love you! You're the only one I've ever loved! It was Daisy! That bitch seduced me!" He slammed his head against the ground over and over again. The dull thuds echoed through the cathedral, his forehead quickly turning into a bloody mess. Alas, I didn't even care to look at him. Instead, I turned away, looped my arm through my father's, and sauntered out of the chaotic wedding venue without hesitation.

"I’ll live for you, my goddess." "Good." Artemis clapped as a brilliant smile spread across her face. "Now, you should get going." As the words left her lips, I felt the ground beneath my feet disappear entirely and my body begin to fall. Looking up, I met Artemis’ amused gaze as she lifted a hand and gave a small wave. "Consider this your redemption." She called as the world around me turned dark. "Make the most of it!"

There was no redemption. Amber drank a few glasses in anger as she waited for Ben. She had played her cards well. She didn’t just trust her benefactor; she also had a man working for her tailing Ben. He would bring Ben to her. She would crush this vile creature once she became Mrs Adalase. In another room that was dimly lit, a man sat shrouded in darkness blowing out puffs of smoke. He was waiting for the good news; to see which one of his toys would turn out to be his biggest asset.

‘I just don’t want to have to see that sick shit again. Even though I killed quite a few people, there was never a time I thought of eating them. Just remembering that left me sick and with the heebie jeebies. ‘But it could help.’ Anna reminds me. ‘And aren’t we trying to show them that we aren’t the enemy?’ ‘No amount of showing will prove that.’ I sigh, leaning forward against the banister in front of me and lifting my gaze to the city beyond again. ‘After everything we’ve done, there is no redemption.’

Still, I tried to control my emotions to make sure that I achieve the purpose of why I am here. Suddenly we heard a loud scream not far from where we are, which was followed by several howling wolves. I know exactly what that howling sound meant. I heard that before, it happened the same day that I lost my son. “Sounds familiar?” Isabel asks, taunting me. That howling meant that Drake’s dad had fallen. That the Alpha of Purple Hill has died. This also meant that the winner of the battle if he is still here can claim the pack. Drake can’t claim the pack because he passed out and is in critical condition.

I see Camila walking towards him, she’s his ex-girlfriend and the resident mean girl. He hates her, he has said it a thousand times so why is he opening his arms to her? Why is he kissing her? I don’t understand anything that’s going on right now. I walk towards him and he stops me with a raised palm, “Carter, baby what’s happening”? “Why are these pictures here”? “Please do something about it, did you get hacked”? His face remains stoic until a small smirk starts right around his mouth and I watch as it slowly turns into a malicious grin. He laughs darkly and raises one brow up

he said, "but I'll talk to ye tonight." "I can't wait," Anna said as she stepped back and waved. With a heavy heart, she watched Angus until he drove out of sight. "So what do you think?" Hilde Adamsen swept her hand in a gesture toward the frontier town set that had been erected alongside the rushing waters of Snowmass Creek.

It was like opening presents on Christmas except this was just a letter, so there weren’t fun presents inside. Ripping it open, the fire envelope fell to the floor, turning to a light powder of ash before finally disappearing. “That’s amazing,” I whispered, my foot swishing the floor to feel for remanents of the ash. Reading its contents, there was a black stenciled drawing of a massive palace, with a three-headed dog on the letterhead. “From the Delighted Parents of Hades, God of the Underworld and Parisa Goddess of Empathy and Bonding.”

He left a proverb: "When two elephants are at war, the grass will suffer." Who was she then? One of the elephants or the grass. Jasmine squinted her eyes as she took note of the car license number. Amos' blood. I shook my head and pressed up a little until I could see Amos' lifeless body splayed across the dirt and gnarled at the throat. Gideon rushed by me and flung himself onto the cart. He scoured through the blankets pulling out a long axe, but before he could turn around he was pulled down to the ground from behind, his screams muffled by ferocious growls and the sounds of teeth striking bone. My vision finally started to sharpen and I could make out the gray blur causing all the destruction. It was Dimitri's wolf.
