A series of my hatred collapsed with my newly build feelings that were very much comfortable than the pain I was feeling. I looked in his eyes. They were truthful and consuming. At this moment, I want to forget everything and get with him. I want to leave everything and touch him. At this moment, I am willing to lose my dignity. "Maybe there is something else that I will regret", I said. He gave me a questionable look and asked, "what?" "However, I wont regret it at the moment atleast", I repeated. Chapter Six Too Late Abe Regret was a funny thing. People always talked about it like it arrived all at once. Like a lightning strike. Like some dramatic realization that changed everything overnight. In reality? Regret came in pieces. Tiny little reminders scattered throughout your day. A song. A scent. A restaurant. A laugh that sounded almost like hers. And every single one felt like a knife. I stared out the floor-to-ceiling windows of my office. The city stretched endlessly below.

Gazing at them with warmth, he reminisced. "Youth is truly wonderful. There are still so many things you can do, and even regrets can be mended. Seeing you two brings me back to my younger days. I, too, once invited the person I loved to admire the flowers. Alas, we ended up parting ways because of a misunderstanding. Now, when I think back, my heart aches with regret. Adrian gets up and starts leaving. He can feel the weight of her words echoing in his mind. The bitterness in her voice cuts deep. “People forget after committing mistakes, but they definitely get the fruits of their deeds; I see only regrets in your fate.” she screamed. He knows she's right. As Adrian walks away, he can't shake off the feeling of guilt and regret that now consumes him. He knows he has hurt her deeply, and the consequences of his actions are now staring him in the face. The harsh reality of his mistakes hits him like a ton of bricks, and he realizes that he may never be able to make things right again. Mysha would probably loathe me for life because I didn't listen or accommodate her request. The most painful emotion a human could experience is not heartbreak but regret. No matter how loud I yelled or begged my parents to open their eyes for a minute, it was already impossible. The breath of life had left them for good. And all I could do was cry and be regretful for all the things I didn't do while they were still alive. The old and new wounds from their bodies indicate that they'd been through a lot. All this time, they were just near me, but I didn't even visit them. My tears pool on my face once more.

I use that to propel me forward. Those voices of yours are drowned out by the loud thumps of my beating heart, the thumps that are my own cheerleading squad telling me just to try. Just. Try. Just Try. And I know myself now just as I am knowing more about you, is that what I don't want to feel, more than you in my head and my heart, is Regret. Fear, you come and go. But Regret, well, Regret stays forever. And Regret is the most unwelcome guest because, in most cases, I can prevent Regret from coming into my home.
