June did not take the silver box. She backed away from the door. Her heels clicked on the wood floor of the apartment. The little girl in the dress stood still. Her smile did not move. Her eyes did not blink. She held the box out in the hallway. The ceiling light seemed to bend around her body. It was as if she were not really there. "June, who is at the door?" Bensons voice came from behind her. June turned around. Benson was standing there. He looked healthy and strong. He wore a doctors coat over a nice suit. He looked like the man June had always dreamed he would be. He was successful, safe and happy.

"You might change your mind, and the only way to find out is if you go out and put effort into finding that special someone. Now, let me inspect your outfit." I let out an aggravated sigh as Ben circled me like a shark. My hair faded, and I wore dark blue jeans, a black button-up shirt, and black loafers. I was also wearing a black leather belt and a silver watch as an "accessory. This idea was ridiculous; I'd rather be in my work clothes. "I'm not a fan of all the black, but you look good. You need to roll your sleeves up." Ben helped me roll up my sleeves and looked over me one last time.

Bennett sets the young boy — who I'm holding out hope might be his nephew, even if he did call him Daddy — on the couch and watches with his hands on his hips as a little boy goes back to coloring. At no point does anyone stop to explain the small child's presence in Bennett's home. Maybe I hit my head and this is all a dream. Maybe a bullet hit me after all and I'm dead. Most of my dreams starring Bennett end with him getting naked. I narrow my eyes and stare at the two of them super hard for a good four seconds, but Bennett is definitely wearing the standard Pelican Bay Security black polo shirt. Tucked into his jeans, the fabric is pulled tightly against his chest creating a nice little o

I wonder if I should take that as a red-herring. Beside Benson, Isabell Powers lets out a loud gasp making me steal a glance at her. She is dressed in a black pencil shirt and a red blouse. Her blonde hair is falling softly over her shoulders and as she looks at me, I can feel the feeling of disappointment and betrayal against her dead eldest daughter from her young daughter in the air.

The men and women were dressed in their best tropical evening wear and once again plenty of gold chain and rings were on display. Ben wore a black silk shirt over dark grey slacks and Trish wore an off the shoulder sleeveless red sheath dress which showed a lot of skin. This display made Ben's grey slacks too tight in the groin area much to her delight. Rochelle had been successful in finding a lovely gold dress in the boutique. It too showed a lot of cleavage and leg and she'd grinned when she saw Ben's appreciative look. She'd given him a big hug and thanked him again. Trish just shook her head and watched Ben from behind her friend.
