⸻ The door opened again. Benson stepped in. Calm. Collected. Dangerous. He didn’t wait to be told to sit. He simply pulled the chair and sat down, folding his hands neatly on the table. That alone told me enough. This man doesn’t react. He calculates. I pressed the recorder. “Mr. Benson,” I began, “you are suspected of being involved in the death of Mr. Patrick, illegal possession of his property, and unauthorized transfer of company funds belonging to him and his brother.”

I nodded. “Thank you for that. Have you found out anything yet?” He shook his head. “No, Felix and Cornelius have been working on it.” I looked at him confused. “Why are they working on it?” He looked over at Lynn and she nodded at him. “Jensen, Cornelius is the Don of the Roman mafia. He is the reason why we were able to save you.”

I asked with a bit of humor to try and make him smile since it looked like he could use a smile for himself. He smiled and nodded his head. "I suppose it would help you out here. I don't need anyone too serious dear. Just need someone who's willing to do work but you will never be alone with a patient for your own safety and protection." "I understand, One of your guards named Martin said he would be willing to protect me." "Ah yes him, he is our best guard." Mr. Baxter spoke with a bit of a smirk.

Benson whispered as he moved closer to Scott who remained still like a statue. "Your silence means that you know the master planner behind it, don't you? You're so hard hearted for a person who just lost his sister. You know what, Scott?" Benson said as he started straightening Scott's suit with his hand. "I think you're from the devil. When your family member dies,you don't feel any remorse but when another person dies,you cry a lot. Like you cried when Kylie's father died because of you, remember?" Benson said and laughed evilly.

He’s studying to be a psychologist and I know he’ll be great at that. Benson is the youngest of us, born six minutes after Ajax. He’s the charmer, the most mischievous and outgoing of the three of us. He’s smart but tends to hide his intelligence behind jokes and cocky grins. He’s studying to be an engineer and he’s on schedule to graduate at the top of his class.

Maybe that's why he was chosen to be the one to train all the Scarletts. "You can only call him Honey. Not Mr Gunn, not his first name, just Honey. Only Honey is allowed." I laugh thinking how awkward it would be during our first meeting next month that I have to call him Honey straightaway. "He would call you B," he ignores my laugh as he always does, being totally serious during our class, "Which stands for Baby. Or Bee the zzzzz. I'm not sure myself but it will be B for you. Or anything he feels like calling you. But the default would be B so whenever he calls B or mentions B, that would be you."

I nodded in acknowledgement and continued watching the rise and fall of Baylor’s chest as he breathed. “I am going to go to the restroom and grab a quick shower and then I will be back. Keep talking to him and hopefully Sarafina will be able to get through to Shammus soon,” Uncle Mike said as he stood and headed for the door. “Uncle Mike?” I called out just as he reached the door. “Yes?” he replied. “Thank you for saving him. I don’t know if I could have survived if he died,” I whispered. “No need to thank me. Above all else Baylor is my family and I will always have his back,” he replied and left the room.

I asked, wondering and guessing inwardly. Mom’s smile became so contagious that I couldn’t help smiling back at her, “Hmmm,” she hummed, “You won’t believe Sam came with Rod Benson. Rod Benson is the only son and heir to James Benson, the CEO of Benson Dairy, the richest dairy company in New York.” The smile on my face glowered to sadness as I argued within me if mom was about to mention what was on my mind. I shrugged to continue the discussion. “Well, it is indeed a privilege to have such a personality around. I guess he gave you some gifts. That is why you are excited. Benson Dairy is a prestigious company. Sam did well by bringing along the heir.”
