Chapter Hundred and Nineteen Jenna's POV Raina’s eyebrows shoot up, surprise clear in her expression. “The only one?” I nod, my gaze dropping as I continue. “He was the alpha of my former pack. When we met, the bond sparked immediately. But he…” I trail off, taking a breath to steady myself. “He rejected me. He decided that I wasn’t good enough and that I didn’t meet his standards as an alpha’s mate. I was just a reminder of weakness, of what he thought a mate should be.”

To ensure that I didn’t lose my child, he was playing this whole dirty game right now. The lies and treason, all these exposed him as the man that he was. Dean kept his eyes on me for a second, frowning in confusion before he looked at the door. His mother, father, and the so-called Kai stood, frowning at our sight. “I, Alpha Dean Ivanov, Pakhan, and Alpha of Alphas, accept your rejection.”

I say before taking a deep breath and continuing. "....Now, as you all know, Sasha rejected me last night. She left and didn't tell me where she was going. "Then what did you mean?" I rubbed my forehead. "Karen, this is getting ridiculous." "Ridiculous?" she repeated. "Yes." She laughed. A fake one. "You know what? Maybe you're right." I frowned. "Karen." "No." She shook her head. "Maybe I should stop acting like my opinion matters." "Don't do that." "Do what?" "This." Her eyes flashed. "No, Zaiden. Let's talk about it." I remained silent. "You make decisions alone." "I make decisions as Alpha."

He stared at me, the hatred in his eyes evident and then he said the words I dreaded the most in my life. "I, Alpha Leo Fernandez of the Blood Moon Pack, rejects you, Crystal Thorne as my mate." His words tore through my very being, leaving my wolf shattered, but there was nothing I could do. "Now, accept the damn rejection and get lost," He growled. I shook my head in the negative. I had heard so much about the pain that came after a rejection and I didn't want to go through that. "Are you out of your mind?" He grabbed me by the throat and squeezed hard. "You would die like a pauper here and no one would even bother to search for your remains."

Finally, it collapsed with a thud, soon reverting to its human form, having lost the strength to maintain the wolf shape. Due to the throat wound, speaking was unclear for him. I replied, looking into Joey's eyes with a hint of cruelty.
