The sins of rejection

The sins of rejection

The word abortion was not in my dictionary,my baby had done nothing,it deserves to live. I called doctor Finn and told him about my baby,he was in shock."The pills I gave you are always one hundred percent effective, how could they not work?"I kept quiet."That is not even important right now, come to the hospital, let us conduct an abortion before it is three months old." "No,I am keeping the baby." I said,I did not believe Finn's words,he was a doctor he could have known more than to kill. "Then make sure Finn does not know that is my baby, take care."He said then hanged up.

THE ALPHA KING'S WANTED MATE

THE ALPHA KING'S WANTED MATE

“…please do not reject me, Camilla. I plead with you.” “Accept it,” I gritted out, my hands curling even more by my side if possible. “I do not understand what in the sick fuck is going on, what sort of sick joke fate and the universe is playing on me to pair us up now of all time, but accept the rejection.” My heart was hammering behind my ribcage, a mixture of anger and confusion pairing to make up a raging storm inside. “I do not, and will never accept you as my mate. Certainly, no sick fate can make me be with you after everything.”

Going Rogue

Going Rogue

He was also feeling the pain of the rejection. “It will continue to get worse until you accept the rejection,” he grunted through his own pain. I didn’t know if this was true or not, but I didn’t know how much more of this I could take. It’s so rare for someone to actually reject their mate that there weren’t many details on what happened, or what it was like. The pain increased again, and Atticus and I were both physically bending under the pain and the weight of the rejection. “Accept it,” he growled.

This was actually a really good book. Glad I gave it a try. She really was trying to help in her own way but some people are just so selfish. I hate that she had to go through all of that but I’m glad she got a happy ending.

Good story, different from many other stories and there was some surprises... Really a tragic story even if it ended well in the end. I did skip easy over some parts to get faster through the story, but the plot was interesting.

Once Rejected, Now Desired

Once Rejected, Now Desired

She had expected that singular fact to throw me off, little did she know that I had thoroughly thought this true and figured every possible outcome by myself. "But where would that leave you on the grand scale of things? No matter how you try to sound or make it sound, you would be nothing but a reject. Your story would be a classical, one true one of FROM GRACES TO GRASSES. People would mock you, call you names. Hell! The news hasn't even gotten out, and people have already called you cursed."

The story is good. But when is the next update? It's frustrating to read a good story, then NO updates for days. This is a costly site to read from & nothing like spending $ to hit a road block and no updates.

THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA

THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA

My fingers trembled. He said nothing new. His rejection had already landed; I’d heard the words. But his stillness made it worse, as if he refused to witness the damage he’d done. I let the breath shudder out of me and did the only thing left that didn’t feel like dying: I made a choice. “I accept it.” My voice snapped like a thin wire. “I, Anya Voss, accept your rejection, Alpha Rowan.” The reaction was immediate and savage. White-hot pain exploded through me, not like heartbreak but like being ripped open. It clawed down my throat, stole air from my lungs, and everything went bright.

The alpha’s rejection

The alpha’s rejection

The night was heavy with unspoken words and unresolved tension. After the confrontation with my uncle and aunt, I retreated to my room, the weight of Christopher’s rejection pressing down on me like a physical force. The envelope of money he’d given me sat on the edge of my desk, untouched, a silent reminder of his cold dismissal. I couldn’t bring myself to open it. It felt like accepting it would mean admitting defeat, and I wasn’t ready to do that—not yet.

My unofficial rejection had in turn given me the truest love, and while I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone, I’m grateful for my life now. The End.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve always been frustrated by how vague summaries of rejection novels can get, so here’s my stab at it. The central idea is basically a scorned lover getting a second shot at life and love, often through a supernatural or fantastical reset. In a typical arc, the protagonist is utterly devoted to a cold love interest—maybe a crown prince or a duke—who spurns them publicly. After a tragic death or betrayal, they wake up years in the past with all their memories intact, determined to rewrite their fate. The main plot then becomes a meticulous unraveling of their previous devotion, as they strategically distance themselves from their former obsession and focus on self-improvement, gaining magic, political power, or social standing they neglected the first time around.

The real hook for me isn't just the revenge, which is satisfying, but the quiet moments where the protagonist realizes their own worth outside that toxic relationship. The original love interest, baffled by the sudden indifference, often starts a reluctant pursuit, creating a delicious role reversal. The tension builds on whether the protagonist will forgive them or choose a new, healthier path entirely. It’s a power fantasy wrapped in a character study, and the details of the reset mechanism—a magical contract, a divine blessing, a simple deathbed wish—usually set the tone for how the story unfolds.
