Resident Evil Retribution Rain Ocampo Novels & Stories

I drove my eyes away and head back to the bed. Though I am trying to avoid her, I am just pretending to do so since I am noticing every movement of her. She applied the antiseptic around her neck, opened her luggage and pulled out a red saree then moved to the washroom. I try to close my eyes to sleep but I can't. I had gone through the biggest quake ok my life which shook me from inside.

“Excuse me?” He turned to her with a tired grin. “That means you’re asking the right questions.” She leaned against him. For the first time, she felt like the silence between them wasn’t empty. It was shared. Somewhere beneath the school, in a chamber no one had entered in years, a terminal flickered to life. It's the high-pitched scream coming from Rain that snaps me to action. He's about to kill her!!!! I teleport to where they are and see Marcel sinking his fangs into Rain's neck, drawing almost all her blood. Eyes wide, thoughts scattered, I rush to where Marcel is and shove my hand into his chest, shifting his heart from its normal position. His grip on Rain buckles and she drops with a thump on the bed, blood pooling around her, eyes lifeless. “She isn't the mayor's daughter. Rain is a lycan. The last remaining of her kind but you…hurt her!!”

The surge of Origin-Code hit my brain like a freight train. I didn't project a Phase-Shield to protect the city. I inverted the projection. I fed the raw, chaotic sub-ether frequency directly into the localized gravity of the courtyard outside. "Executing protocol: Neon Rain," I whispered, blood dripping from my nose. Outside, the air above the plaza suddenly shimmered. It began to rain. But it wasn't water. It was liquid Origin-Code glowing, iridescent blue droplets of sub-ether energy.

“They took her. Not me.” Alex froze mid-advance. His blood turned to ice. “Who. Took. Her.” Calla stepped back as the motion-sensor emergency lights flickered to partial life, bathing the room in dim red. Her face looked almost ghostly. “Project Rebirth’s retrieval unit,” she said. “They’re faster than you think.” Maya gasped. “They breached Level 40 already. That’s impossible” “Nothing is impossible for Rebirth,” Calla snapped. Alex stepped closer. “Why didn’t you stop them?”

The breeze broke the branches of the tree, shaking the statues, but with how bad the weather was, it didn’t affect the people inside Octavia Globe. The rain started, and Alma screamed, itching her body. There was no place to run as rain was falling everywhere. The sounds of thunder increased, as did the lightning. Alma screamed loudly, falling on her knees, but no one could hear her scream. Lillian came down from the sky, walking towards her. This was her redemption; after years of torture, she is finally getting her revenge and getting her peace.

Antonov stepped toward me and grabbed my arms. "And what are you going to do if you go back now... Who will believe your words when you look nothing like Eve Sanchez... There are many ways to get back at those who wronged us Scarlet, but the best way to truly punish is to drag it out and make the culprit wish he or she was dead... I can help you get your revenge if that is what you want, all you have to do in return is live as Elde's daughter and love her as if she's your mother. Will you do it or not"

I was still thinking about what to do when someone pushes the door open. "Help!" I used my last strength to scream so whoever is in the room would know the direction to take. "Shut up!" Oscar's cold tone filled my ears as he struck me hard on my face, which forced me to shut my mouth. There is a minute of silence as my face stings from the effect of his slap. I felt sad when I saw no one coming in my direction, I'm left thinking that maybe the noise I heard was in my head. "Arrgh!" I felt someone hit Oscar from the back, making him lose his grip on me, and he crashed to the floor.

Almost like the heavens were waiting on them, the clouds released their load and the rain began to fall heavily. “Welcome sir,” Walter opened the main door and stood aside as Tamara and Marco walked into the house. “Here. We need to confirm if the cheque is genuine or not,” Marco retrieved the envelope from his pocket and handed it over to Walter. “Of course sir,” Walter bowed lightly and walked away leaving Tamara and Marco alone in the large foyer. “I think I’m going to have to wait a while before I can go home,” Tamara chuckled awkwardly and looked up “The rain is coming in heavy,”

As soon as the light was back, Rain took a deep breath and went about her work. Mist bit back a scream as Rain reached inside to find the missing piece. Blood coated her gloved hand, making it both slick and sticky at the same time. A look at Mist’s face told her she couldn’t take much more. With her other hand, Rain pushed down on her abdomen, trying to move her anatomy into position.
