Rick's Dilemma

Rick's Dilemma

Back in Jelang, Howard was deep into training the new recruits. Some would be maids, cleaning the domitories and dinning hall. Others would be janitors, doing the heavy duties. The new kitchen staff were being trained by the head cook. It was her job to plan the meals with what food was available, set up work schedules, turn in payroll every week, order the supplies and to manage the staff. She was an excellent cook, but had little time anymore to actually do any cooking. She would teach the workers new recipes, then go back to her office, buried in paperwork. What she really needed was an assistant.

Overflowing Affection From My Billionaire Uncle-in-Law Turned Husband

He had spent decades climbing the ranks in the restaurant industry, finally becoming a manager only to be dismissed within three months. The supervisor, feeling wronged, protested, "I didn't know he was our boss! And it wasn't like I meant to offend them. How was I supposed to know he'd stand up for Charlotte?" She shot Charlotte a venomous glare as she spoke.

The Vampire's Bride (The Dark Council Series Book 1)

No, it couldn’t be. “Right, let us get to the introductions,” the manager spoke as we were all seated. “I’m Nathan Davis, the manager, as you might already know. This is our owner, Mrs. Trisha Alfano, and her heir and eldest daughter, Rainelle Alfano.” He pointed to the two identical looking women with black hair and blue eyes who were no doubt mother and daughter. “This is our head chef, Samuel Giovanni.” He pointed to the only man sitting to his right who was wearing his chef uniform. “And finally, Mr. Erick Stayton, our new sponsor. He has just agreed to help us with our plan of expanding our restaurant to different parts of Canada as part of his new business venture. It’s a pleasure to h

Intricacies of the heart

Intricacies of the heart

The ovens hissed, pans clattered, and the subtle scent of roasting vegetables mixed with freshly baked bread. Each day I tweaked a station, adjusted a table, or shifted a light, constantly imagining the flow of guests, servers, and food. I relied on the temporary staff more heavily for now. My two servers had learned the rhythm of the room. The quiet glance to indicate a finished plate, the practiced step to avoid collisions in narrow walkways. My sous-chef was indispensable, keeping the prep line moving even when I had to step away to handle an unexpected delivery. The dishwasher hummed like a metronome, keeping pace with the chaos.

Jessica's Love Triangle

Jessica's Love Triangle

As she went to punch in her time card, she found her supervisor standing by the registration desk. “I guess miss graduate is too good to report to work on time,” Eddie the supervisor said. He was a middle-aged man with a big stomach. He had worked at the hotel for years as the head of cleaning and temporary staff. He had taken on more responsibilities recently when the hotel had gone through some downsizing. He was now also in charge of procurement and management of supplies. “I’m sorry Eddie. I had a late night. It won’t happen again.” Jess said apologetically.

BROKEN VOW

BROKEN VOW

I spoke as calmly as I could manage. "How can this afternoon be good for me when fools like you work for me? Can't even do a thing right." He seethed. Yeah right, hiring staff without interviewing them and then blaming them for not doing work properly, I thought. "Listen to me Claire, I want you to assign Ruby and three of our best waiters to personally serve the new boss and his associates. Talk to the head chef and finalize the menu for the week right now and bring it to me in an hour. I want no tardiness in this work. Go. Now." Eric angrily shouted.

Married at First Sight

Married at First Sight

Jovanne took two sips of her coffee before saying, “No matter how talented he is, he’s young. How many cuisines could he have tried? How many dishes does he actually know how to make? “Even if he manages to get in this time, how long can he last? Everyone knows how picky of an eater Ms. Isabella is. She doesn’t just want something different every day, she also needs it to be perfect in every way. “It’s easier said than done. I’ve done some research and the longest anyone’s worked as the O’Connors chef is six months. Two weeks is the shortest.” Weston was silent, and then he said, “If I still don’t get it this time, I’ll give up and accept reality.

Whisked Away

Whisked Away

“Says the man who’s probably yelled at three sous chefs today.” “Only two,” he said dryly. “You want to join the staff?” She blinked. “What?” “I need locals. For the front of house. Catering. Maybe even kitchen support. You’ve got energy.” “Is that chef-speak for ‘you look like you’ve had three jobs this week’?” He smiled, surprisingly warm. “It’s chef-speak for ‘you move like someone who gives a damn.’ That’s rare.” Amara felt her cheeks warm. “Thanks. But I already have two jobs. And a kid.”

HARDER JEREMY!!..Seducing my Identical Twin Sister Boyfriend

"But Mrs. Gable! Everyone is going to be there! We can't just miss it!" "You can, and you will," Mrs. Gable said flatly. "The resort dining hall feeds over three hundred guests every single day, and the kitchen staff is completely short-handed this weekend. I just spoke with the manager this afternoon. Starting tomorrow morning at seven o'clock sharp, you four are on official kitchen and dishes duty." "Dishes duty?" Jeremy repeated, his deep voice cracking slightly as his head snapped up. "You want us to wash plates?"
