Before she could think further, darkness swallowed her whole. A deafening roar filled Liesa’s ears. Her body burned and froze at the same time, the sensations tearing through her. She thrashed weakly, desperate, like someone drowning. When her hand found someone, she grabbed on instinct. Her fingers tightened with all the strength she could muster. No matter what, she refused to let go. When Liesa woke up, the first thing she saw was a white ceiling. Then came the familiar decor. She blinked slowly, confusion pulling at her. They were back at the estate.

A new one. Scrawled in ink. Not just a name. A warning. > Rafael Vairo (Alive. If confirmed, destroy completely.) She didn’t cry. She didn’t shake. She just closed the book. Resurrection, Lucas reflects, is not a moment but a process—painful, gradual, and ultimately transformative. The older Lyra looked at the resurrected worlds. He's the key to bringing back everyone who ever died. Aiden's eyes opened. And billions of voices suddenly whispered through the darkness: We want our lives back. End of Chapter 117

I touched my face, and my eyes landed on the calendar. 2016? “Mum... are we not in 2026?” “2026? Are you crazy?” “You have an interview this morning, remember? I've made breakfast. Get dressed and come downstairs quickly, okay?” “Hmmm.” I flashed her a smile as I slumped onto the bed. I thought I died... What happened? My mind flashed back to that moon. Could it be the light? I remembered making a wish. Could it be that the heavens heard me? So I'm not dead. Is this a second chance... To rewrite my mistakes?

Asher's disbelief echoed through our connection, but he promised to join me as soon as possible. When I arrived at the morgue, I was met with a scene that seemed too surreal to be true: Malachi standing beside Kaida, his eyes fixed intently on her, as if searching for something. Luke and the mortuary staff were equally awestruck, their whispers and murmurs filling the air. One of the ladies compared Kaida's resurrection to that of Lazarus, who had been dead for three days and was brought back to life by the Creator's will. I flipped to the page marked by a small dried violet. The unfinished collection. The one she planned to name Resurrection. She never got to finish it. But I will. And I’ll use it to destroy the very people who stole her life. Nico returned a few minutes later. Something in his expression made my blood run cold and hot at once.

It turned into golden liquid, pouring out of the screen and onto the desk. "What? No! The hardware is compromised!" Julian screamed, lunging for the power cord. But the golden liquid hit his hand, and he was thrown back by a blast of pure, unedited energy. From the shattered screen, a hand reached out.
