I whispered with a loving smile, "which story would you like tonight?" Mathew's face lit up with excitement, his tiny hands reaching for his favorite book. "The one about the brave little wolf, Mumma!" I chuckled as I opened the book, a captivating story about a young wolf's grand adventure. Mathew listened with rapt attention, his eager eyes fixed on the pages as I spun the tale of bravery and exploration. By the time I reached the part where the little wolf found solace under the silvery glow of the moon, my son was already fast asleep.

I lay back on the bed, pulling the blanket over my chest. Forget them, Tessa. Just let it go. I closed my eyes and drifted off. For the first time in a long time, I slept without dreaming. When I woke up, the sky outside was dark. A knock came at the door. “Tessa? You awake?” “Yes,” I called. Tom peeked in. “What do you want for dinner? Want to go out or stay in?” “Maybe stay in?” He grinned. “Figured. I already ordered groceries. They’ll be here any minute.”

It wasn't loud enough to be distracting, but its low boom rattled the walls and shook the wooden porch beneath them. Actually… the place was quieter than Ethan expected. “Your home’s silent today," Ethan said to Tom as he swung his bag from his shoulder and dropped it to the floor. "Frank isn't in?” “He is," Tom answered with a sigh. “I guess he's just sleeping." Ethan nodded. That explained the low music. Leaning forward, Tom placed his arm on the table and ran it across the surface, sweeping off the rain-plastered leaves to the floor. He was about to drop his books when Ethan called him.

Christian "Good morning, Chris." Tom's voice is groggy as he steps into the lounge where I'm sitting with a sleeping Sophie on my lap. I look at the clock on the wall and it's only 5.05 am "Morning. What are you doing up so early?" He stretches and yawns while walking over to the big puffy chair that's in the corner. "I couldn't sleep. That bed ain't the comfiest and between Callum snoring like a fucking dog and Jack talking in his sleep I've not had any more than three hours of sleep."

Tommy yawned and stretched as he sat up in bed. When he'd crashed on the Johnson's spare bed last night he'd forgotten to shut the curtains and the bright dawn sunlight streaming through the window had woken him up far earlier than he would have liked. Last night had been amazing and surreal. It actually seemed like a dream rather than reality. Tommy's best friend Billy, who seemed to have some sort of strange control over his incredibly sexy stepmother, had shared the beautiful, busty blonde with Tommy and their other two friends, Clint and Dougie.

EXTRA CHAPTER 3 The large front door of the mansion opened, and a familiar man with gray eyes came out. "Man." Gideon nodded at him. The two hugged man-to-man before he waved three key cards like those seen in hotels. "The house is ready. I already installed a security system throughout the mansion. The roof and walls are bulletproofed just like you like." He then looked at her and Summer too. "Welcome to Northsire Town." "Thanks, Cale. I owe you, man."

The young master lowered every fibre of pride in him to mutter those last words. Tommy beamed brightly and they sealed it. "Now go to bed. I've said so much in one night than I've probably done my whole life." He grunted under his breath. Tommy giggled as he tucked him in gently. "Good night, A. I love you." He muttered, dozing off almost immediately. "You too, Tom." Arian waited a while watching his little brother sleep before closing his eyes. Unknown to the both of them, Mom Rose smiled with a warm look in her eyes from where she'd been silently watching them at the hallway, and softly closed the door...
