THE COLD WOLF'S MATE
“Come then, bitch.”
We collided.
His sword slashed against my fur, as pain flared along my shoulder, but my jaws clamped down on his arm, crunching through metal until the taste of iron and blood filled my mouth.
His painful shout filled the night.
I threw him back, his body crashing against the stones. His men rushed forward, but I continued fighting, claws tearing into flesh and armor alike. Bodies fell and screams filled the air.
The bond tugged again, it was faint but there. He was alive, he was weak, but alive. My heart surged with relief and more fury. He had bled for me, and now I would burn the world for him.
