Reverse Grumpy Sunshine Books Novels & Stories

Sunny was terribly livid, but he could not come up with a retort. Corinne was coincidentally sitting at the spot where Sunny was doing his homework. While flipping through his school books, she said, "Do you really have the time to be minding other people's business when you haven't even finished doing your homework?" Sunny immediately blushed with embarrassment when he saw Corinne looking through his homework. "Put that book down and keep your hands on my stuff! That's none of your business."

Bookshelves lined the walls, their shelves filled with a vast collection of knowledge and wisdom. Harley Louis leaned casually against the window, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Let me tell you," he began, his voice alive with animated chatter. "Those old geezers in the Granger family are something else. The moment they caught sight of you returning, I swear, they were spewing curses under their breaths."

“That’s not enough for us, Alpha Knoxx. We will repay you one of these days.” Knoxx shook his head and hung his T-shirt around his neck. “You don’t have to. Let’s go, Sunshine.” “Alpha Knoxx,” Grandma called. Knoxx and I both glanced at the old woman. “I’m rooting for you two. You and your mate, Miss Sunshine. I pray for both of your happiness.” I grinned. “Oh. Thank you so much, Grandma.” “Come on, Sunshine.” “We will be going then,” I informed the two.

"Do you have any tulips today?" A familiar voice rang in my ears, and I had already prepared one to hand to him. "Smells wonderful. It must look beautiful." When I heard him say that, my mood instantly brightened because of the tulips. "It must look beautiful." The weather was unpredictable. Just a moment ago, the sunlight had been warm on my skin, but in the blink of an eye, raindrops began to fall. Rio had a surgery today. In a panic, I began moving the flowers back into the shop, and he offered to stay and help me.

He didn't say thanks, but he didn't throw it in the trash either. "Step one of the friendship mission is a success," I whispered to my reflection in the mirror. Later that afternoon, I had to head back to Mayla’s. I still had two boxes of books and some winter clothes to move, and as much as I loved my new freedom, I missed my niece even if she knew how to get on my nerves. The Beckett house felt different when I walked in. It was still beautiful and smelled like expensive candles, but it felt hollow. I was taping up my last box when a shadow fell across the doorway.

I answered him with a smile. He then clicked his tongue and all of a sudden, his face darkened. “I already did and it does not do me good,” he coldly muttered. I was caught off guard by what I heard and got curious about what happened to him. Is that the reason why he’s always grumpy and gloomy? Does someone hurt him? I was so lost in thought that I didn’t notice the mass was about to end. "Let's give each other the sign of peace. . ."

And that’s when Shawn smiled again. The moment he did, the air shifted. The marking flared brighter. My wolf’s teeth sank deeper into the raw edge of instinct. The ground beneath my feet trembled. Would I survive this?

Chapter 15: Goldilocks “Goldie you are taking forever, we will miss the rainbow!” Everett called out from outside. “I am coming Grumpy!” I called back with a small giggle. Ever since we had that conversation, it had become easier to live comfortably in the house with him. It no longer felt like a stranger’s house. Today, we agreed to go out of the house for a change. He wanted to show me around the forest –whatever that was, I thought with a smile as I put the final touch to my hair. It was up in a ponytail and I had taken my time to make sure it came out very sleek so that only my golden curls bounced behind me.

Granny voiced out warmly. We didn't talk much longer. We wished each other good night and ended the call. Suddenly, I became calm, maybe it was because of Grandma's soothing words. My anxieties vanished and I was able to fall asleep without the tiniest problem. I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed and full of energy. I came downstairs to prepare breakfast for myself. The morning was beautiful, the sunrays were brightly shimmering, filling the entire kitchen with sparkling glow. I walked to the window which was overlooking the garden. I felt like all the green plants there were sparkling in the sunshine. Suddenly, in the middle of the green mass I noticed magenta and pink spots.

"Mr Philip sent me to give this to you." "Thanks." I collected the book to inspect the front cover, while he showed off some dimples. The book had a raccoon as it's display photo. The raccoon looked thrilled to bits with both hands up and mouth open like it was shouting. The background was yellow, it had the words, 'furiosly happy' boldly written on it. Under the book title, there were word too that said, 'a funny book about terrible things' written in smaller font, while the author's name was Jenny Lawson.
