His journey to understand emotional depth, not just mimic it, through her pain was the real plot. It used their established canon personalities but pushed them into uncharted, uncomfortable territory. More of that, please. Less 'Milim drags Rimuru to a festival,' more 'Milim wonders if her only friend pities the broken weapon she is.'
