Awalnya Hafizah diculik lalu memutuskan untuk tinggal sementara di rumah Mbah Kur setelah mendengar isi percakapan dari kakeknya sendiri yang bernama Qasim dengan beberapa pengikutnya, bahwa Kek Qasim akan melakukan ritual pernikahan sesat dengannya. Selama ini Kek Qasim mempengaruhi penduduk desa dengan mitos sesatnya, dia pula yang membunuh para gadis untuk dijadikan tumbal pengganti, supaya Raja Louis yang mereka percaya sebagai iblis penguasa bangunan tua, dapat mengembalikan Hafizah. Dengan menjadikan Hafizah sebagai umpan, Raisya akhirnya berhasil menggagalkan pernikahan sesat itu sekaligus membuka kedok Kek Qasim.

Ilmu leak adalah ilmu olah rohani (semedi) untuk menyatukan diri pada Sang Hyang Widi Wasa ( Tuhan Maha Esa). Ilmu tersebut disimpangkan oleh sebagian pengikutnya jadi ilmu hitam. Dalam ritual keabadian ilmu tersebut selalu mengharuskan pengikutnya mengambil darah suci dari janin yang masih dalam kandungan. Tersebutlah Dadong Canangsari menurunkan ilmu leak ke Bu Lana, keponakannya. Bu Lana serakah, menginginkan keabadian kecantikan demi memenuhi hasrat birahinya. Ia kemudian nekat mengorbankan janin hasil perselingkuhannya. Bu Lana ditemukan sekarat di tengah kobaran api yang dihasilkan oleh kilatan ilmu leak yang tak terima perilaku pengikutnya. Pak Lana dan Sarti (istri kedua) hidup bahagia.
