You can’t be telling me she actually up and left without a trace that day! Not after what she had gone through. You most especially should know about her life. You may be a married mutt to that she wolf you’ve loved, but you were also my mother’s husband first!

Ryder replies while grabbing my hand and gently kisses my knuckles. “This is a perfect idea; I’ve been wanting some time for just us as well. I know you love Aiden and I know you’re happy to help my sister, it’s one of the many reasons I love and adore you,” I couldn’t help the slight giggle that escapes me before trying my first bite of my dinner that was savory and delicious. “What do you think it will be like when we move to Wolf Creek and Raven takes her place as alpha?” Ryder questions after a few moments and I shrug my shoulders.

She'd made that clear to everyone. A few minutes after River had forced Allen into the room, a different kind of screaming filled the air, the cries of a newborn baby. A smile came to River's face as he pictured the tiny baby wrapped up in a blanket and laid on the mother's chest. He could imagine Sam, sweaty and out of breath but beaming with love, Allen at her side. He was glad his friend hadn't missed that.Someday, River hoped to have children of his own. But first he had to find a worthy woman, and since that wasn't easily done, he'd put the entire possibility out of his mind, at least for now.

"If that is what you would like to be-sure. Now it's your turn-why did you agree? You seemed intent that you would say no to me faster than a roadrunner." Dallas leaned his chin down on the palm of his hand. He peered at me, almost with delight. I sipped on my coffee. "You must know how aggravating River is. She wouldn't shut up about-her belief that I cannot obtain a man. What better way to piss her off than to steal the guy she's in-love with?" "That she is madly in-love with?-or that you're madly in-love with?" Dallas quirked en eyebrow. His eyes glinted with arrogance.

“Alright, fine. But don’t expect me to hold your hand while taking a dump.” River smirked, some of his usual sharpness returning. “That’s disgusting. You kiss your fiancé with that mouth?” Riley felt her cheeks burn at River’s comment, the memory of their feverish kiss still fresh in her mind. She quickly turned her head, hoping he wouldn’t notice the deep crimson flush spreading across her face.

If she as Beta was feeling this nostalgic, she could only imagine how he as Alpha was feeling. She thought about her new found female friends… young Elinor, Rhea, Miguel and Dante, wondered how they were faring in an entirely new pack that probably had a completely different way of doing things. Kendra even missed Tyrone Riverdale— shocking, but absolutely true, which was saying a whole lot… even though she’d rather die than admit this to his cocky, handsome face had he been in her presence. She only hoped that the pack was settling in just well, that the members of the Riverdale Pack weren’t making thing hard for them.

I quickly shot a text to Jade, explaining everything that happened in as little words as I could. I ran into River at the carnival where he saw me talking to Gerald whom he knocked out because he thought I was there with him. River's heart races in his chest when he looks at Jared and sees he's staring at his lips. River quickly looks away and clears his throat before shoving another strawberry in his mouth. The Alpha's body begins shaking as a very excited Beta grabs ahold of his arm and begins shaking it. "Holy shit! Did you see that?! Jared likes River! Oh, my Goddess, I'm going to die!" Tristan's excited voice rings through the Alpha's head. "If you don't stop shaking my arm I'm going to throw you across the field!"
