Robinsons Snake Man Novels & Stories

“Who are you?” Venya asked, tilting her head to the side, confused by the short, olive-skinned man that was covered from his bald head to bare feet in blood and flesh chunks now standing just outside of a large, opened gash in the neck of the snake. “I am Grub. Oh don’t be worrying pretty face, Grub will fetch wonky leg, give me few minutes,” the man said, spinning quickly on his heels to face the opening once more and as he moved forward, he pushed the skin aside to step back into the throat of the snake.

Then, suddenly, my eyes widened in fear. A very big snake was crawling toward me. Fear paralyzed me for a moment before I turned toward the door and screamed. I rushed to it, but to my horror, it was locked. The door was made of glass, so I could see Roberto outside, and he could see me. I banged on the door repeatedly. "Save me! There’s a snake in here!" Roberto stood calmly before the house and said casually, "I know." Tears rolling down in my eyes. "It’s going to bite me! Please, help me!"

“I just think that once something is broken, it’s broken. Even if you piece it back together, the cracks remain. So you might as well shatter it and rebuild it from scratch.” The client nodded in approval. Not far away, Ethan suddenly stood up and walked straight toward me. Timothy tried to stop him, but failed. “Lexie William.” He called my full name. I ignored him and continued explaining, “For the main stone, we recommend using an uncut black diamond–” “Lexie William!” His voice rose sharply as he pressed a hand down on my design sketches. The client startled, glancing between us. “Ms. William, who is this?”

It uncoiled further, sliding down her arm, and before I understood what was happening it launched itself toward me, jaws wide. I screamed and stumbled backward, grabbing Rhoswen by his arm. Rhoswen moved faster than I could track, catching the snake mid-air by the base of its skull, his grip tight as it writhed and hissed against his hand. "Call it off," he snapped. Sable's smile didn't waver. "It's only playing." "Call it off, Sable." She held his gaze a moment longer before whistling low, and the snake went suddenly still in his grip. He set it down carefully, and it slithered back to her, coiling up her offered arm without protest.

she says proudly. “Why a snake?” I ask. “A snake was their family seal back then.” “Oh. That makes sense I suppose,” I say nodding. “The Emperor’s son – and next in line – Wei, was an onyx snake and was given the gift of death, his venom was lethal to any and all it came into contact with. On the flip side his sister Jing was a gold snake and given the gift of healing,” she says smiling at me knowingly. Healing? Did she say healing? Both Chris and I perk up leaning forward.

Bruno looked where I was looking and grunted. “A man like that doesn’t know the meaning of limits. You want me to handle him?” “No,” I said, though my pulse was thundering. “Arnold Grey is a weed. You don’t pull it up until you know how far the roots go.” We slipped out before the gala ended. We got back home to my study, “Got something you’ll want to see." Bruno handed me a flash drive. "Security from another angle.” I took it without hesitation and put it on my monitor. Bruno queued the footage, and my jaw automatically tightened as I watched.

I said. “But I miss him. He keeps me company,” Harvey said. “You have Sam and me to keep you company now.” “One more person isn’t so bad.” I pinched the bridge of my nose. “What would it take for you to go to bed?” Harvey’s eyes lit up. “A pet.” “You have Hino.” “Another pet. A snake. I've gotten a name and the perfect room to keep him.” “Of every animal, you chose a snake?” “Snakes are fun. They slither and small and they curl around you to show how much they love you. It’s perfect.”

"Okay, let's do it. I'll make a few dives to attract his attention. Don't wait too long or I'll get screwed!" After taking a deep breath, TheSeventhSnake jumped off the roof, spread his mech's wings and made a high-speed dive towards the enemy, all the while releasing a rainbow stripe. His rifle awkwardly shot a steady stream of energy bolts, most of which dug shallow holes into the heavy mech's plating.

Wings- golden wings and a flaming sword; a man in robes and armor crushing a serpent beneath his feet. “Remember, Callie- snakes are slippery things.” “Sweet Mother of God,” I said faintly, eyes snapping open as last night came flooding back to me. My run-in with Corpseboy, the tea party from Hell, nearly being eaten by wolves. And Michael, the beautiful, majestic angel that had been the only pleasant part of that hellish night.
