Rise of the Forbidden Luna

Rise of the Forbidden Luna

But tonight, I break the spell. Suddenly, my boot hit a loose stone, and it skittered down a steep incline, echoing loudly down the dark corridor. Scritch-scratch. I froze instantly, my hand flying to the hilt of my iron dagger. My heart hammered violently against my ribs. From the darkness ahead, a pair of glowing, crimson eyes snapped open. Then another, and another. The low, guttural clicking sound of shadow-rats, the feral, magically corrupted rodents that nested in the dark, forgotten corners of the pack boundaries, filled the tunnel. They were the size of hunting hounds, their jaws powerful enough to snap through solid bone.

The Pack's Hybrids

The Pack's Hybrids

Thaelen prompted, wanting the man to speak for himself. “Yes, I guess,” the dark eyes flicked back to his and then away. The miner swallowed. “No. No, actually. Those who made the rats,” he met Thaelen’s eyes and held them. “We made the rats,” he said through his teeth. “They are a plague in the mountain, rats, snakes… rodents of all type really. We began to feed them and laced their food with our blood. It makes them obedient to us. They come at sunset for their meal, and through the night, protect our camps, and stop us from…” He shrugged his eyes drifting to the side. “Being bitten.”

If you're looking for a story about an incel that gets their just desserts, this is the book for you! I haven't read a book in this series yet that doesn't deliver an emotional punch in the worst and best ways.
Dawn
That’s the end of the 4th book in the series. Can’t wait for the next book “the rebels”. This has been a fantastic series & though the book spends a lot of time going back & forth into the past & present it allows for those who have not read the whole series so far to keep up. Well done Everleigh xx

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

Three figures, each carrying a flaming torch, walked into our tunnel and stopped, waving the torches about. They were clearly rats, at least by the shape of their heads. They were wearing armour so it was hard to tell what kind of bodies they had, but their tails suggested rat-like. They walked upright and reminded me a lot of the Mouse King, except they were not old and frail. These guys worked out. They also carried swords. “Where is he? The little shit,” complained one of them in a whiny voice. “Shut up,” said another. “We keep going until we find him.”

A Squire's Journey

A Squire's Journey

A tall and a short with wears cloak that covers their faces, and one wears a plague mask. "Doctor, the rats have grown larger since you feed them upon the mountainous corpse at the mountains." the shorter one in a cloak says. "But of course, every one of us has a role to play. Even in death, the Chief and his Hand will serve nutrients for my pets." the Doctor says as he places a rat the size of a cat on the table. The rat heard the Doctor whistling and followed her commands. She then commands the rat to attack the two other members at the table.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

Their eyes glowed red. “I’ve got this, Mom,” Ralin said confidently. He quickly created his own air shield, adding a bit of pale green color so Leesa would know what he was doing. The rodents did not make as much noise slamming into the barrier as the crows did, but their fur sizzled more loudly than the birds’ feathers as they died. The swarm of rats kept coming, climbing up upon the bodies of their fellows to try to get at their three targets. The stench of their charred corpses was even stronger and more foul than that of the crows.

Stories at the Crossroad. (completed)

Carson had his eyes wide open as sweat entered his eyes burning and reddening them, afraid to miss something, especially with the flickering lights. Reaching his short but long destination, Carson pulled back the machine with all his strength. That was when he saw it. “Ahhh!” He screamed out loud and backed up until he tripped on an object and fell. Anderson was right. It was a rodent. A huge rat the size of a football. Its black fur glowing with lights. It stopped what it was munching on and looked up threateningly with its red eyes at the intruder that had just ruined its meal.

The Black Sorcerer

The Black Sorcerer

She nodded and asked him about his mission. She really wasn't expecting for Yman to acquire such a quest. After all, rats were a very hated pest. They were gross and scary. Yeah, they have fluffy fur, but they were not cute to pet. Well, depending on rats though. Since there were rats also that looks cute like a highbred hamster. Highbred hamsters intentionally bred for petting purposes. But the thing was, Yman took the quest about the Evil Rats! Those Evil Rats were hideous looking with the body as big as normal pigs. And their mouths were dripping with greenish saliva that contains poison. And those pointed teeth outside its mouth, well, scary and gross when it bites you.

The footsteps of Roberto, Paul and Andy walked slowly. Moments later Khan was seen gesturing with a gentle gust of wind, signaling Roberto, Paul and Andy who were below because some of them had spiritual animals in front of them. "Plak Plaque Plaque" The sound of Roberto, Paul and Andy's footsteps slowly walked into the forest bushes then the three of them peeked at the spiritual animal in front of them from the leaves how surprised they all saw several giant black rat spiritual animals gnawing at the carcass of a giant crocodile.

The Missing Luna

The Missing Luna

He asked softly, gazing into my big saucer eyes. "I'm feeling better now that the rats are gone from my body," I said, my voice breaking. Tears sprang to my eyes. "Where do the rodents come from? I saw them under the bed! There were so many of them that they formed this huge, gigantic black mass and attacked me at once. They scared me to death! I nearly died due to extreme fright!" I uttered in a trembling voice, tears rolling down my face in torrents. I swear, if I have a heart problem, I'm already dead from cardiac arrest.

Werewolves

They were children, elderly wolves, and those who weren't ready for a battle yet. I didn't plan to stay with Cali. I had too made up my mind to help with the war, after all, my kind too was a part of it, and mostly my mom and my best friend. I was worried they were over the wall with the werewolf in human skin pretending to be one of us.
