Every werewolf in this pack, their wolf is okay. But there are some wolves who aren't ok. Sometimes, they are rejected by their pack and kicked out. Over time, those wolves become rogues. A rogue is a wolf who has gone feral and lost their humanity. There is no saving a rogue wolf. Once rogue, they're deadly and dangerous. I guess you can think of it as a disease in a way. And in the end, it's a death sentence. Because eventually, they'll do something that will get them killed.

He held a sharp piece of shattered red glass right against my throat, pressing just enough to cut into my skin. "You good for nothing rogue," Rook hissed, his voice low and filled with rage. "You tried to steal the wine and even dared to hurt an innocent servant.” I swallowed, feeling the cold edge of the glass bite into my skin. My left eye was swollen shut, but I forced my good eye open and glared straight into his face. "So what?" My voice sounded a little raspy. "That guest is probably throwing a fit right now. Good. I hope he makes your life hell."

She’d taken them down so expertly that I wondered how she got into the situation in the first place, how they’d managed to ambush her. I thought about stories I’d heard about rogues. There were known to wreak havoc among packs. If she was a typical rogue then I could see how that would be. No wonder pack leaders usually hated them. So much so that if an alpha or luna crossed paths with one, their first instinct would be to kill. I thought about what this meant for my mate, and how my mother would take it. Even though I hate to think it, the only reason that I know can make my mother cry if my dad is not dead is if he has been captured by rogues. Rogues are criminals. Unscrupulous beings. Angry and vengeful werewolves that have declared themselves independent from all laws. They attack packs to plunder, leaving maimed and murdered victims in their wake. And when they kidnap, they torture before asking their victim's family for ransom. I shudder with fear at the thought of my daddy in those animals' captivity. I doubt if he would survive two days.
