The dining room was already set like a banquet fit for royals. Chandeliers sparkled, and a long oak table was covered in gold-trimmed plates and imported wines.
“Have a seat, Anna,” Mr. Romano offered, trying to sound pleasant.
Brittany immediately moved forward, brushing the seat, laying a short embroidered towel, then nodded. “Ma’am.”
“All this just to sit?” Luna sneered.
