Answer - Well, in approximately every novel with romance themes, they always end with both protagonists together. I wanted to give my novel a little change from the norm. In addition to such a major fact, while writing this version, I realized that Aqualia and Marvelon would be able to grow more if they had separate lives that entwined at the end. Not to mention, the disaster and the dark moments. I wanted my readers to experience the struggle each character faces and why they end up where they were. With separate love lives that came across stronger than in the first draft.

There’s some life altering event, a struggle of some kind but it gets resolved and they live happily ever after.
