I lean forward, pressing our foreheads together, our breath mingling in the small space between us. "But let's make a promise right now. We promise to tell the other if we ever change our minds. If you wake up one day and decide you want a little wolf running around, or if you decide for certain that you never want them... we tell each other.” I tell in a steady tone. "I promise, Alex. No secrets. Ever.” Xander whispers, his voice thick with a romantic, unyielding certainty. "I promise too.” I reply, before sealing the vow with a deep, slow, and breathtakingly sweet kiss that tastes of hot water, shared dreams, and a lifetime of absolute devotion.

I pulled him toward me and crashed my mouth against his. It wasn't a soft kiss. It wasn't a movie kiss.
