I Want To Be Human

I Want To Be Human

Is he waiting for my middle name as well? “What!?” I ask. “I asked you two questions but toh only answered one. Anyways, what’s your connection with the victim.” He bawls and shows little signs that he is pissed off. “Oh okay. Harley and I are friends and roommates.” I explain and sigh, licking my lips after speaking. I drag my right hand. To my nose and rub on it as I try to hold back my running nose. “Oh really, so you both live together then?“ I don’t get this. I just explained to him that she is my friend and roommate and he is still asking me if we live together. Is there an arbitral meaning to the word

The Unexpected Roomate

The Unexpected Roomate

Max would go to work and make lovely meals for strangers, whereas Grace would sit at her laptop, trying to capture the precise moment when two people stop to be individuals and become a pair. But tonight, they were simply Max and Grace, huddled together on their sofa in their apartment, disputing about what to watch on N*****x and expecting a future that felt both thrilling and inevitable. The unforeseen roommate arrangement has become the most anticipated event in each of their lives. And they were right where they belonged.

My Brother's Roommate

My Brother's Roommate

“It looks good on ya. You just look like a grown up, but I know better so …” She went to kick his shin but he dodged her, swiping her bags and starting toward the spare bedroom upstairs. “Can’t I stay downstairs?” Lucas stopped on the first step and looked back over his shoulder. “Nah, I have a roommate.” Delaney gave him three lazy blinks and looked around. “You what?” He shrugged his shoulders like it wasn’t a big deal. “It’ll be fine, swear.”

So far I'm loving this story. I'm about four chapters from the last up date. I love that Laney got the man of her dreams and that he is willing to do anything to be with her. I they find a way without loosing friendships and family. But if it comes down to it I just they come out on top together.

My (Delicious) Roommate

My (Delicious) Roommate

"I told you earlier that they have always been more her friends than mine. And not because I don't like them, but because the ages are different and we have different ideas of what recreation, fun, is." "I see." "Last month, Alexandra told me that she was advertising for a roommate position in her apartment. That she needed someone to talk to, that she was feeling a little lonely. I guess her friends were more distractions than anything else.... And that she needed someone who really understood her. Someone besides me." Emanuele nods and drinks a glass of water while Joshua takes a breath to continue the explanation.

More Than Roommates

More Than Roommates

“Yeah.” He waits. He wants me to choose to tell him. So I do. “You probably got his contact info off I*******m,” I accuse and he chuckles. “I did, fortunately enough he responds to dms of guys who look exactly like you and could probably be your brother.” I sigh and continue “He’s my roommate,” I say, voice quieter. “And my friend and something more. Something I still don’t know how to name because it feels like it’s more than me.”

just another roomie

just another roomie

"That little spoiled spawn of Satan! I swear we are all going to school tomorrow and her parents better be there! My niece is the prettiest girl on this planet!" You see? This is why I loved all my girls so much. We were always there for each other and when one of us had a problem it was like we all had a problem. And when someone insulated one of our kids, you got 4 pissed mothers on your back, not just one. So it was best for you not to mess with any of us or our kids. You see, once upon a time I was just a roomie, but I had no idea that the roommate agreement would lead to the best version of my life possible.

My Roommate & I

My Roommate & I

he stammered, the hesitation in his voice impossible to disguise. It wasn’t really my place to pry. “Am sorry, I didn’t mean to pry into your privacy. After all, we were nothing more than roommates… and occasional fuckmates. There was no exclusivity between us,no obligations,no promises and certainly no claim over one another—nothing that justified my curiosity. Bang. Bang. Bang. Three firm knocks resonated through the apartment, shattering the uneasy silence. I instinctively lifted my head, my brows knitting together. Who on earth could that be now? I wondered.

My Roommate is a Boy

My Roommate is a Boy

she says as if she had solved everything, but in reality, she had done nothing. "Well, shouldn't you be? I am supposed to have a girl roommate, but..." "You have a boy," she nods, and I tilt my head, trying to understand what she meant. "And you don't think that's an issue?" "Of course not, how can it be? The house you chose is a shared house, meaning that both genders can cohabitate there," she explained, and even though that should be enough to clear the air, my mind still can't understand what she meant. "You did not specify in the agreement that you wanted a girl, so we went with the next person on the list, and it happened to be..." She looked down at the

My Brother's Best Friend

My Brother's Best Friend

"I'm so sorry, Cade. I can't believe him. Actually, yeah, I can." "It's fine." He twirls a piece of my hair around his finger and locks his gaze with mine. "How would you like a roommate? I know that part of town and it's not the friendliest. I'd hate for you to be scared or the people in the complex to know you live alone." I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. Cade being my roommate sounds scary and everything I've ever wanted all wrapped into a present with a red bow. Cade searches my face for minutes before averting his gaze. "If it's too soon, I understand—,"

One of my favorite stories on here!! But, I do agree with others that a few things/important situations were left with little to no detail on them & wanting more.. otherwise, truly a really good story!

The story is good and develops an interesting plot with the bullying, date rate, drugs and coping mechanisms and feeling management of the female lead and the support system found in her father’s secretary and boyfriend.
