“Thank you, you look incredible too,” I returned her answer, looking at her insistently. Everything was so serene about her.
“Look, see? And you were resisting buying the dress.”
I remembered how I protested vehemently against my fancy dress the day before, but after seeing how Paris looked, maybe I made the right choice. Also red, mermaid style and with a bare back, it fit my slender body perfectly.
“Come on, stop nagging me and let’s go. It’s getting late,” I insisted, because I wanted to get this charade over with. I was feeling uncomfortable. The worst part of it was that I was going from one mood to another quickly.
