Roxanne's POV: I held onto Garren as if my life depended on it. I was scared of letting go, and my wolf felt the same way. He was about to shift when I tightened my grip. "Roxanne," he called in a low, husky voice. "No," I whispered, shaking my head. I wasn't going to move, no! He sighed, then stood up with me in his arms. "I'm not going anywhere without you," he said as he walked to my bed and sat down with me on his lap.

Suddenly, a big wolf launched onto him. He pushed back, but he seemed injured. The room erupted into a louder noise, and in a matter of seconds. People started changing. “Protect him at all costs,” I whispered to Greg. “Of course, Alpha.” Greg nodded, tearing his cloth off as his muscles pulled, shifting into the grey wolf I had known. I knew he had always had it in him to attack Ron ever since he attacked us back at the former hideout. He jumped towards Stephen, pulling him back while attacking Ron.

She lets out a low growl in her throat as every fur on her body stands erect amplifying her sensitivity. Suddenly a rogue wolf lunges towards us with his feral intensity. His yellow eyes blazing with aggression as his rotten smell washes over the clean air. He is way larger and intimidating more than Roxane. But she doesn't back down, instead she charges towards it with same intensity. As the rogue goes above, Roxs uses her small body to her advantage, dodging the rogue by going underneath it. The rogue's falls in a thud since it didn't anticipate Roxs' move. She turns with Grace ready to defend us as the rogue charges to us again, this time angrier with his teeth clattering in utmost rage.

He does not protest rather surrenders to me on my desires and strolls with me peacefully not uttering another word. "No!" A female's high-pitched shriek of hysteria has the both of us halt at a distance frantically search for the source. "Mine. My female." Lucianne bit her bottom lip before admitting, “The leader of those rogue wolves, as it turns out, is bonded to one of our closest allies.” Greg crossed his arms and leaned back into his seat as he took this in. The gears in his head turned like they never got rusty from the more than eight months behind bars before he commented, “Well, that will either simplify or complicate matters.” “Or both,” Lucianne muttered to herself, which Greg easily caught, and he let out a brief, light chuckle before he nodded in agreement with a wide smile, “Or both.” This was his first authentic laugh in a long time.

No matter the feeling towards the hunters, there was one thing the wolf nation couldn’t stand, and that was rogues. Twisted wolves, shaking, foam at their jaws, eyes gone wrong. No pack structure.
