Royal Choas Novels & Stories

“You are not in the position to judge them. Your family came with a customized limousine too.” My judgement stopped just the same time the car stopped. The driver stepped out first. Then another door opened. The King came down with an unexplainable aura. There was no way I could mistake him for anyone. I've seen him during elite gatherings and I've watched him closely. The Queen followed, composed, distant, her expression unreadable as usual. A ripple went through the students as our guests revealed themselves. So the very important guests were royals. English royals with a significant difference.

It was the Day of the Ritual, a tradition for every ruler of my bloodline to prove they are the strongest soul in the land. I ran a slow, casual hand through my hair. It was long and as white as a fresh snowfall, a shining symbol of my pure, royal blood. I knew I looked magnificent. I wore a simple silver tunic that was thin enough to show the muscle beneath, catching the rays of the sun like a mirror. "Our king is so beautiful!" "Asher is the strongest!" "He is prettier than all my daughters combined." I heard some of their talks The noise was like a physical wall of sound. Thousands and thousands of my subjects sat on the stone benches that rose so high they seemed to touch the clouds.

I murmured, half asleep, smiling against his ribs, warm all the way through. "My queen," Malik said, quiet, into my hair, like a thing he'd known for a long time and had only now earned the right to name. "My queen of chaos. If you'll have the crown. If you'll take a gray careful kingdom and a man who's still learning how to be a person and a whole city full of people who used to be ordered to fear you, and stand next to it all, not under it, and make it yours too." I lay very still against him, and felt the enormous thing his voice was circling, and decided, being who I was, to make him work for the shape of it.

The music was loud and the women were everywhere. “Your Highness, dance with me.” “Oh, no, he promised me the next dance.” “Atlas, look at me. I wore this gown just for you.” Prince Atlas Mavros smiled politely while three noble daughters fought over his arm like cats over fresh meat. The royal ballroom glittered with gold chandeliers and people gorgeously dressed up. It was a grand celebration at the palace. But to Atlas, it felt like a trap.

And that was worse. The sanctuary shuddered. A deep vibration ran through the stone. Kael reacted instantly. “We’re not alone,” Tanya turned sharply. Her mother’s eyes widened slightly. “No…” Another tremor. Then a sound. Metal. Boots. Movement. Tanya stood fast. “What is that?” Kael’s voice dropped dangerously low. “Elite formation.” A pause. Then, colder: “Royal crest.” Tanya’s blood went still. “No one knows we’re here,” her mother whispered. Kael’s eyes darkened. “Someone does.” The chamber doors exploded inward. The stone shattered. Light poured in. And armed warriors entered in perfect formation black armor engraved with the unmistakable symbol of the royal house.

The gatekeeper of Royal ROXFLOOD KINGDOM made an announcement of the Royal prince entering the court with two of the culprits. The king FAUST BRAVER ROXFLOOD was discussing some of the state affairs with other ministers since it was early in the day and the court hours were up to the third half of the day. As soon as the announcement of Prince’s arrival was made, the ministers started whispering amongst each other.

“With this, let's begin the first trial of the traitor of the royal family, The Houstchavv XI Crown Princess, Fuschia Mountravven!” The majestic door has closed.

She pointed to the black dress hanging in the farthest corner of the wardrobe filled with colorful dresses. Agatha turned to look at it and suddenly said, "As expected. The Consort has brilliant eyes for things." Athena rolled her eyes, "I just like black, that's all there is." Black will always hide the blood stains of her victims. "And please, don't call me Consort. I have a name, use it." "That's impossible. Lord Alexander has chosen you as his Consort and we, servants cannot disobey the masters." Aria, the other maid said quickly.

Kyros stands next to her in a grand display of deep forest green, his kingdom's colors, exuding regality, power, and prestige. Tory and Antonis, the couple standing next to them, also look stunning. Tory wears a royal blue mermaid slit dress. Even though she's royalty she doesn't identify as one since her father was stripped of his title which means she has no right to the colors, so she's not wearing her house colors. Antonis, next to her, is breathtaking in a burgundy tunic, his eyes fixed on Tory with adoration.
