The wolf’s body seemed to be made of diamonds the way it sparkled and I for sure have never seen a tail so beautiful and long. And her eyes, they were a very unique shade of multiple colors, like a rainbow. “Silver seems like a more realistic version of this wolf in the painting,” Mac remarked and I absolutely agreed with him.

The Ruby Wolf was done being hunted. It was time to become the hunter.

I say smiling at her while finally closing the gap between us, I reach out to her once again, patiently waiting and praying for her to take my hands. My instincts to protect her kicks in and I quickly tell her to get behind me while abruptly scanning the area for rogues. As expected, a couple of wolves jump out of hiding and begin circling us, their intent clear as they grow

I slowly started the car again to continue my journey, but I came to an abrupt stop once more when a huge animal jumped onto the hood of the car. "AHHHHHH!" I screamed, seeing that enormous black wolf staring at me and licking its lips. I honked the horn to make it go away, but nothing made it leave. It was a huge wolf. The wolf jumped off the hood of the car, circling around it, never taking its eyes off me. With trembling hands, I took out my phone and dialed my dad's number, but, great, there was no signal. I slammed the gas pedal and sped away, getting as far away as I could from that wolf.

Wolves pounded after them, then one by one peeled off, howls echoing under concrete. At the head of the pack, a scarred she-wolf—taller, broader—snarled, snapping at a male that edged too close. They didn’t follow. They watched. They always watched. Jake tore a glance in the mirror. Nothing but yellow eyes and patient rage.
