It’s Dawson’s fault. If he didn’t have a twin with whom it was possible to confuse him, Darío would have believed me and trusted my words, or maybe not.

Now I was on the run like a fugitive. The heavy sound of my panting roared in my ears as I sprinted through the trees. The sweat on my brows rolled down my face. I blinked as a drop seeped into my eyes. It stung like hell. My lungs stretched as I panted out of breath. But I couldn't stop. I couldn't. They'd have found out my treachery by now and even now, I was sure the pack warriors had been sent after me. I'd be dead if they found me.
