Both girls thought about their next course of action and just before the stranger could emerge behind them with a fur-covered face and amber eyes, they leaped to their feet. Rain picked up a crowbar on the shelf closest to her and swung at the stranger. Darkness oozed from his pores, and he looked more like the messenger of death. ‘Grrr….”The stranger who was in his half-shift form growled, glaring daggers at Rain. Blood seeped from his temple as he held a hand to the wound Rain inflicted on him. “Wow, that was a nice kick, Rain…” He panted, staring at her. Rain’s eyes are wide in alert. She held the bar tighter, refusing to blink away from her attacker’s presence.

She whimpers. “You’re hurting me—!” “Not yet.” And then I twist just enough. There’s a sickening pop. Her scream rips through the garage, high-pitched and feral. It bounces off the walls like music to my fucking rage.
