That morning, Jade had gone to Arkadia, along with the others who had survived. Seeing how the Lifebloods came to attack them in their coven, it could only mean that they have Kyra, but as he got there, he didn't meet any one of them. He searched the whole place and not a single person was there. He soon knew he had to go to Athens because the people there took Bathilda with them and also, Aiden was still there. Kyra must be there too, he thought, and he left for Athens immediately, with the others right behind him.

Every turn revealed something new. "It’s beautiful," Seraphina whispered. Indra beamed. "This is the soul of Arcadia."They drifted from stall to stall, examining jars of rose oil and trays of glittering bangles. Seraphina held a soft blue scarf against her skin, admiring how it matched her eyes. For a while, she forgot everything—the prince, the beast, the pain. But peace, it seemed, was always borrowed.

Robb frowned and pinched the bridge of his nose, saying, "young lady, do you think I'd just lend you a few of my weapons like that?"

Dax grabbed my wrist, voice rough. “She’s using Kieran as a bridge.” Mara lifted her hand. The cageborn stopped thrashing instantly, obedient.

“Zee! You look like a sexy snow bunny. Perfect. Let’s go corrupt the town boutique before they close.” I rolled my eyes, but the knot in my chest loosened a little. Aradia had that effect, chaos and comfort in equal measure. We climbed into the waiting SUV, black, tinted, bulletproof-looking, because of course...and the driver pulled away smoothly, snow crunching under the tires. Aradia sprawled across the seat, boots on the console, already scrolling wedding inspo on her phone. “So,” she said without looking up, “you gonna tell me why you look like someone kicked your puppy?”

The hum swelled, and a voice emerged, sweet and intoxicating: “Jessica, heart of the nexus, weave your love eternal.” A figure appeared, not a weaver or a mother, but Kade, his form glowing with love, his amber eyes soft, his voice a whisper of promises. “I am Ardyn,” he said, his tone Kade’s, rich with devotion. “The Love Weaver. You wove the dawn, Jessica. Weave with me, and our love will bind the nexus forever.”

_Aria's POV_ I stood frozen at the entrance of the mansion. The enormous wooden doors were open and warm golden light spilled across the stone steps beneath my feet. For several seconds, I simply stared. Nothing about this place made sense. Who built a mansion in the middle of the forest? More importantly, who lived in one? I slowly turned toward Rowan. "You actually live here?" He glanced at the building behind him before looking back at me. "I keep getting asked that."

Aria pointed eagerly toward the window that framed the fountain a short walk away. “My bracelet!” Lydia smiled, the corners of her eyes crinkling. “Well, we can go grab it. Saturday adventure, right?” Elena nodded, a faint smile tugging at her lips despite the flicker of tension that refused to leave her chest. Aria clapped her hands together in delight, her excitement infectious, and the three of them headed out, stepping back into the sunlit streets of Lydia’s hometown.
