If the choice were up to him, Ryder would definitely come back for me. Another woman sat beside me. I stared up at her. She had a regal face, and an almost formidable stand. She was as graceful as she was strong. She wasn’t crying. She smiled at me. Her name was Helen Thompson, Ryder’s mother. “We have the best surgeons in the room with my son,” she said. “I told them to make sure they do everything they could to save him.” I nodded, in spite of my tears. Ryder’s mom held her hand out to me. “Come. Family should wait together,” she said.

It was all blessed by The Moon Goddess herself. I was in the kitchen cooking cookies with the kids, they had cookie dough everywhere. We were having so much fun and then my mates came in the fun just went to another level. Ryker was an amazing cook, and he loved making cookies. Before it was all over we had had a cookie dough fight, the kitchen was a mess and we were covered in flour and flour dough, the kids too.

After that, he would happily eat his dinner. This time wasn't any different. Ryder liked to see Jake cook. He would put on a black apron with "Nice to meat you" written on it because Jake refused to wear the one Jeremy gave him with the "My meat is 100% going in your mouth today". Her mom chuckled while accepting the bag. They were surprised to see how many dishes there were. “This is a lot. How long has she been cooking?” Clyde grimaced. “I’d rather not say. She was just too excited when I mentioned last night that I’ll have a picnic with Sab.” “Goodness. I hope she’s getting enough rest.” Her mother was worried. “Yeah, I told her to rest after we had breakfast. Don’t worry. She had fun cooking. She’s very happy to do it.” His smile returned to reassure them.

I forced myself to steady my breathing and respond with a quiet, “Okay, Mom. I’ll meet you downstairs.” She didn’t answer right away, but I heard her footsteps retreating, and that gnawing sense of unease didn't let up. Mom’s voice called out again, “Have you seen Ryder? He’s vanished.” My stomach twisted. I bit my lip looking up into his eyes well the game has to start again won't it? “Don’t know, Mom. I don’t care,” I muttered, the words slipping out in disgust. “He needs to learn some proper etiquette when it comes to treating a woman.” Personality number two loves to cause trouble.

I love you for saying that. " I smiled at him but he gave no reaction and just looked at me weirdly. " He is right and as it is, both mom and chachi are extremely good at cooking. I swear, they both are obsessed with making our favorite dishes. It is ok if Myra can't cook. " Raj said with a smile and I smiled back at him.
