My hands shook slightly as I pulled the letter out of my clothes, my heart pounding harshly in my chest, scared of the words I would find in it. I didn't even bother to get out of my wet clothes. I just stood in my room as I gently opened the letter like I was a treasure that I was afraid to rip. “Dear Audrey, it’s only best if we go our separate ways. Truth is I can’t do this anymore. It will be better if you move on and never contact me again.” A sob broke out of me the moment I fully absorbed the written words. Lucas was gone and this wasn’t just any form of goodbye, this was a letter from him telling me how worthless I was to him.

Jasper says . "Yeah." Alex mutters and wipes her nose. "You don't understand . You both don't understand." I get up ," I don't want to read the letter because if I even dare to read it , that would make it official. This letter is a goodbye one , it means the end of us . I don't want to say goodbye to us." I say . Alex hugs me and starts crying. "Not you too , Alex. I can't handle both of you crying together. Stop throwing tantrums like a child and man up." Jasper says and opens the letter before handing it to me.

“Oh, Adrian.” I clutched the box to my chest, tears spilling freely down my face. These letters were pieces of her, words she had left behind, waiting for me to find them. A piece of white paper, somewhat crumpled from me sitting on it accidentally. It took me a moment to read it in the moonlight, but there was that now all-too-familiar handwriting again. I read, “Wow, I can’t believe you’d really trek all the way out here. What a pathetic idiot you are! Seriously, stop being so predictable and just die already. And stop sending sad letters to your mom, she can’t save you. Your move, bitch. Xoxo Zara P.S. If I were you, I’d run.”

He had never imagined such a disaster could happen in a deal he had spent a year negotiating. At that moment, Sandra dropped to a deep ninety-degree bow, tears streaming down her face as she pleaded loudly, "I'm sorry! This has nothing to do with Mr. Ulrich! Don't scold him! "Dear Emily, We're so sorry we haven't been in touch. Things have been complicated, but we want you to know that we love you and miss you terribly. We're trying to find a way to bring you back to us, but until then, please stay safe and know that you're always in our thoughts. With all our love, Your brothers" Emily clutched the letter to her chest, her heart swelling with relief and joy. They hadn't forgotten her. They still cared. The sadness that had weighed her down for weeks began to lift, replaced by a renewed sense of hope.

They all have different dates on them. Each letter has a different mood. The more envelopes I open the more I can feel it and see it in his words. Some of them make Justice and me smile and some make us cry. I laugh at the grammatical mistakes and cherish the scent wafting from the sweet sentiments on paper. I feel the despair in the letters that are only one or two sentences long. It’s like reading someone’s diary. He always ends them the same way. I make his day sweeter, and he’s glad he gets to be my mate.
