I am Zeiah, I grew up thinking that everybody around me is ordinary and I am like them, but that's what I thought. I remembered everything, from the growl of that notorious creature, the slashing of the swords, and the explosion, all of it was clear. I close my eyes, quivering into the ideas which my mind could only bear. How I wish everything were just a nightmare. I let out a deep breath and found myself in the middle of nowhere.

Still, I love the author, Priam, but his book this time is confusing. His book was always been things about the morphers; how they live, their traditions and more. But this is the first time I came across something like this and for one thing, it is still, Priam's book. It's still early for my shift at the cafe, so I reach for my phone and type the title of the book. "The...first....born." I muttered typing every letter with my heart beating fast.

And everything that happened before, who was I with? It can’t be that it was all just a hallucination! Even the wounds on my body are real. I picked up a thin, empty bag—like a tote bag—and transferred the ancient book from my work bag into it whilst Saga wasn’t looking. He was still talking to Alaric on the phone. Slowly, I crept out of the room, hoping Saga wouldn’t notice I’d left. Taking careful steps, I made my way to the end of the corridor, where I could see a large door.

He leaned closer, scarred jaw inches from mine, heat radiating no touch—torture exquisite. "Pawn? No. Queen." Obsidian eyes bored soul-deep, half-smirk curving lethal. "I fell first, Nia. Two years past—your TED talk. 'Crisis as Catalyst.' Dissected corporate lies like a surgeon and hacked your life that night. Runs mapped, strategies stolen, Darius's files unearthed. Obsessed. Dangerous minds recognize their match."

- I told him. He nodded and pulled several books out from one of the stacks and set them in front of me. I opened the top book and ran my fingers over the runes in the title. It was beautifully written as if each word was drawn with love and attention to detail. Now that I looked at it, it reminded me of a combination of Norse and Old English. Nerrian pulled his chair closer and pointed to the first word, speaking it in my mind than out loud in Draygonian. With his help, I repeated the word over and over again until I perfected it.

Would you mind lending a hand? She gapes at me for a minute before she lets out an exhausted sigh and goes about. Ignoring her existence, I bury my nose under the book again. The first three paragraphs are a bullshit sort of introduction. ‘The Basics’; promises about unreachable standards I’d reach, the kind of work I’d end up writing and Yada, Yada, Yadaaaaaaaa.

And they're huge. The way the story ends in this book isn't complete, because Adonis and Bella get another book in the series. That book is the sixth, so I can't proceed with their story without finishing books 2, 3, 4 and 5, because the 6th book picks up from where Bella and Adonis's story left off in this book but continues through the story of the rest of the couples. And I simply don't want to ruin the surprises the other couples have to offer in the meantime.

She was normal again. Suddenly, to her surprise, Sage backed away. He suddenly took two steps back, turned from her, and faced the river. As he did, he raised one hand to his chest, and looked to be in pain. She was confused. Had she done something wrong? Was he sick? “What’s wrong?” she asked. She came over and placed a hand on his back, wondering if he was okay. She was shocked: as fate would have it, the roles had reversed. He was the one that was suddenly backing away—not her.
