Called by the Dragon

Called by the Dragon

But something told her it was something else. “This is pointless,” she growled on the second night. “Come on, back the way we came.” She twitched the reins against the horse’s tufted mane and turned him around. He seemed to like that idea; his speed increased from the steady trot to a swift canter across the shifting sands. He was eager to get out of this place too, which was odd since it was a well-known fact that sand horses preferred the kind of terrain their name implied. They had no fear of enemies when they could detect and escape them easily, even if they had any natural predators in the first place that wouldn’t gag on their naturally desiccated flesh. They had no need of water or fo

Mated To The Mafia Werewolves: The Alpha and Beta Wants me

Mated To The Mafia Werewolves: The Alpha and Beta Wants me

As the wings sprouted from her back, Sandro stood nearby, completely enraptured by the sight. With growing apprehension, Arabella watched as he approached her, his movements fluid and graceful, resembling a predator closing in on its prey. He loomed over her, his presence imposing and overwhelming. She fought to remain still, suppressing any flinching, determined to stand tall and meet his gaze with equal intensity.

Quicksand

Quicksand

It went and left this massive hole of pain. This gaping hole that was cold and empty. It felt like was free falling. He'd always wanted to jump out of a plane. Feel the sensation of his body propelling through space. That's what it felt like only Jules wasn't wearing a parachute. And time would stop and press repeat the second he crashed into the ground. So he had the pleasure of experiencing it all over again. Greater sadness right after great happiness.

BLAIR

BLAIR

“Why is Falynx coming here?!” The massive creature named Falynx, a colossal beast that had six pairs of wings but no legs. Its head was like a crocodile’s and its wings were that of a bat. Its body was covered in peach sand scales and some patches of brown hair. It was 70 metres in length and flew about 100 metres above the sand. The sand was still blown away as it flew over and casted a large shadow on the desert. “KRAAA!!” It shrieked loudly as it got closer.

The Mage's Heart

The Mage's Heart

Rivyn was already bare, and he took me from the woman’s arms and stripped me to the skin despite my protests. “It’s an experience,” he told me, carrying me over to the nearest position, where the winged people poured dust over themselves. He did the same to me and rubbed it through my hair. “The sand has many qualities,” he explained as he worked it into my hair. “It absorbs oil and sweat, it prevents lice, and it helps with healing.”

A brilliant adult fairy tale! Dark romance, fairies, sirens, mages, dragons, dark elves, mermaids, trolls, imps, spells, and quests. I loved it, an action packed adventure from beginning to end. Folk lore and fae stories truly came alive, I fell in love with the characters and got lost in the story.

I hear his voice guiding me, “Savannah, walk through the forest with me” Suddenly I’m barefoot, walking through a pine forest. I hear a wolf howling. I know that howl, it’s my wolf. It’s Sahara. “Sahara, I’m coming girl”. The howls become more panicked. She’s trapped. I start running towards her. She’s calling for me, frantically.

The Dragon's Precious Gem

The Dragon's Precious Gem

The night sky stretched infinitely above them as they soared, far from the Mariswyn estate. Caelia clung to the warm, ridged scales beneath her, but the shield of still air surrounding them kept her safe, untouched by the wind. She peeked cautiously downward, expecting to see the rolling hills and forests of her former home. Instead, an endless expanse of golden sand already spread beneath them, its dunes passing like frozen waves under the moonlight.

Hellblades

Pelin seethed. The sand rumbled again beneath our feet, louder this time. “Now run!” I screamed, grabbing Pelin’s hand and clasping it tight. She didn’t hesitate anymore. We took off across the dunes, boots sinking into the shifting ground, breath ragged from the heat. Behind us, the sand cracked open with a deep, thunderous roar. Scorpio the massive scorpion emerged from the depths, crawling forward on its grotesque, skeletal limbs. Its long, spindly legs moved with a disturbing rhythm, each step sending a shiver down my spine. It didn’t attack right away, no, that would’ve been too merciful.

Transylvania Academy: What It Takes To Be a Monster

In fact, she maintained her speed, for time was her enemy today – more than anything else. As the shaking of the ground she was running tripled, Sylvia the Angry used the pile of corpses in her way by using it to increase her momentum. The moment she reached the top of the three-meter pile, she jumped. On cue, the ground of what used to be the arena’s stage cracked open and her familiar roared its presence.
