I mumbled under my breath Our eyes met across the crowded room. For a split second, the mask Sally usually wore slipped. I saw it, pure, unadulterated hatred directed right at me. It was cold, sharp, and deep. But just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone, buried under a layer of practiced grace. Sally began to weave through the guests, heading straight for me. She had a huge, beaming smile on her face that didn't reach her eyes. “Rhea, dear!” she exclaimed as she reached us, her voice loud enough to draw the attention of the surrounding guests. “What a magnificent event. You’ve truly outdone yourself. It’s so lovely to see you looking so... well.”

She was now a wanted criminal, but the police did not have any information about her whatsoever. Could it be that Sally had never escaped the city, but had been laying low around them? Or did Sally appear because she was about to get married? For some reason, Sharon started to feel anxious. On the corner of the street, Sally was wearing a face mask as she lowered her cap over her head to try to cover up as much of her face as possible. She knew she was a wanted criminal now, so she had to be careful.
