Tears streamed down from the corners of her eyes. “Nice to meet you, too,” she said, reaching out her trembling little hand to him. “I am Amelia, the daughter of the Blue Forest Alpha. {SAMANTHA’S POV} Samantha raced the BMW on the outskirts of Boston, Sam in the passenger seat beside her, heading along the highway towards Salem. She was increasingly annoyed at the growing difficulty in finding his dad. She’d been sure, when she’d seen those Facebook messages, when Sam had told her with such excitement that he’d been in touch with him, that this would be easy. She would just take him to his dad’s house, and from there it would be a direct path to the sword.

Third Person's POV Samantha's eyes flickered violently, her fingernails digging so hard into her palms they almost broke the skin hidden beneath her sleeves. Gritting her teeth, she lowered her voice and pleaded with Wynn, "Miss Simmons, I know there are some misunderstandings between Cassian and me right now. Can you do me a favor for old times' sake and pull some strings so I can see him just once?" Wynn looked at her like she had just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world and couldn't help but scoff. "You want to see my brother? Sure—wait until your next life when you reincarnate as a high-tier wolf."
