Same Time Next Summer Novels & Stories

I completed my internship when someone caught me kissing my boyfriend and the director, James Porter, in the parking garage. A photo appeared in the company group chat soon after. To protect my chance at becoming a permanent employee, he denied everything in front of the entire office. "The woman in the photo isn't her. She's my childhood friend." His childhood friend stepped forward and took responsibility for the office‑romance rumor. She had one condition. James Porter had to complete 100 couple challenges with her. Once they finished all of them, she would clear our names and explain the truth. James held me in his arms and comforted me. "Baby, it's only 100 things. Once we're don

No, I am not. Summer stands to her feet as quickly as she can and when she reaches the door, she pauses and turns to us for a brief second. “I am going to train. Don’t lose important details and tell me all about it when I get back.” She walks out after that and I turn to Trixie who is more confused than I am. “Our cousin is a bit loose in the head, don’t you think? Well, I don’t.” I am more confused when Trixie speaks and I show this by shaking my head.

Every summer, we would sell out the houses to vacationers. “Alpha!” I turned to look at Ricky, my Gamma, leaning out of the door. He was motioning to me, and I sighed. Unhooking my arm from Helena, I walked over to him. “What is it, Gamma?” “So, we have most places booked through the next couple of months. Plus, we are completely booked for June, July and August already as well. The plan for the last 4th of July and the Summer Festival worked swimmingly.” He winked.

The head of the orphanage found me in the middle of the scorching summer, which was why he named me Theros Sommar. When Daisy learned of it, she then said that moving forward, the summer solstice every year would be my birthday. She then prepared birthday gifts for me and even baked a birthday cake for me to celebrate. Ever since my gastric bleeding the other day, she had forbidden me from drinking again. But the mood back then had been just right, so I pestered her until she gave in and allowed me to drink some red wine. One thing led to another, and that night, she finally gave herself wholly to me.

"O-Of course. We're friends." Satisfied with my response, Bethany finally let go of my arm and followed me inside. I opened the door, but the office was pitch-black. "Dad, these are the friends I mentioned, the ones coming to work here for the summer," I said cautiously. Before I could introduce them, they pushed past me and crowded into the room. "Hello, Mr. Parker. We're here for the summer jobs. May I know what the pay is like? Is ten thousand dollars a month okay? Oh, and I'm not really into factory work. Can I get an office job instead?"

That was all that meant. Summer was in the living room. She had her phone in her hand and she looked up when she heard us come down. Her eyes went to me first, then to Susan, then back to somewhere neutral. "Are you not eating before you leave?" Gray asked from across the room. I opened my mouth. "He has plans," Summer said. "With Susan." It landed flat. Not mean, just flat. Gray looked between us briefly and then said, "Okay. Have fun. Take care." And went back to what he was doing.

✧FAITH ZEICAN LEE✧ I’ve been restless for a while now, constantly glancing at my phone. I’m waiting for Summer to message me and let me know if she has succeeded in borrowing Poppy from her parents. She didn’t want any of us—Love, Hope, or myself—to go with her, thinking it might make it even harder for Poppy to be allowed out. She always jokes with Hope, calling him the ultimate jinx. And since Aunt Baby is out of the country, Summer’s doing this on her own. Aunt Baby and Chloe left for Singapore just the other day.

Maybe I was destined to feel this only for him. "Well we have to leave you now, Joshua has to open up the salon and I have to meet with the real estate agency." Anthony said as he and Joshua got up. "Well see each other this weekend for camping, Summer you said you know a perfect spot." Huh, Summer had no clue, somehow I think she never even went camping. "Yes, my driver will pick us all up and drop us off." Summer said, her eyes shined as she looked at Anthony. It was either the shine of love or the shine of a hangover, either way it was nice to see.

"I don't know anything else." Shawn pursed his lips. Coincidentally, Summer came out of the office, also ready to leave work. "Why are you still here?" Shawn asked. Summer looked puzzled. "Why can't I be here?" "You didn't go with Gale?" Summer smiled mysteriously. "She had plans. I can't follow her and be a lightbulb. Isn't that inappropriate?" Shawn's expression darkened a few shades more. "Plans?!" Plans? "She didn't tell you? It's Aurum's birthday, she's going to celebrate with him," Summer said provocatively.

Amira moved closer and Summer latched her mouth behind her left ear and she started whispering. “Wow! Babe, that’s fucking awesome. If we do this to her, I’m sure that bitch will surely be tired and will eventually leave the house." Summer said with a light chuckle as she was quite happy that she had an accomplice who was also ready to bring her enemy down. "So, when do you plan to move in with them?” Amira queried as she puffed out smoke from her mouth. Summer's face dampened for a while before she said while looking at her nails.
