Daniela's POV My chest heaved as I flashed back through the past three years. Every single time Matteo had been kidnapped, I'd rushed to the rescue the moment I got word. But every single time, Luca would call, and I would leave. There had been eight kidnappings in all, and each time my men had waited two hours before rescuing him. I couldn't stop wondering how badly Matteo had been hurt or how many times his heart had broken over the course of those hours.
