The next day, she and Caden went shopping for expensive enough outfits to make it into the club. It wasn't like Aurora didn't have, but it was always a good idea to shop for more clothes. It was good for the economy.
Her relationship with Caden was still a little awkward and there would be snide remarks between the two at times. He would insist that she was being too much and very spoilt and she would tell him that he just didn't understand how the world works when you have money.
"You don't need a five thousand dollar purse. We're just going that one night." Caden muttered.
"But it's so cute." Aurora looked it over. It was sparkled with its silver diamonds and had a sleek back covering under it. She knew that it was unnecessary but how could it be when it was so gorgeous.
Getting out of the house was also a problem. It was dark outside to sneaking out her way would have been possible if not for the clothes they were in. Aurora was in no way doing something like that in the dress she had on. They had to walk down to the garage without being caught. No one would question what she was doing but they may mention something to her parents and she did not want to have another serious conversation with them so soon. They took the same car as earlier and left without being seen. The windows were tinted so the guards could not see who was in the car when they drove out of the gate.It took twenty minutes for them to get to the club. There was already a long line of people waiting to get in. A lot of them didn't look expensive enough and the ones that did just walked in. When they got to the parking lot, someone to
Caden looked at Aurora throw herself over the security guard. It seemed like she was not being very successful. Auror had a plan two but he knew that that would attract a lot of attention. But he just stood back and watched her. He knew that she was capable of handling herself and if she needed him he would step in.His mind drifted to when they were swaying on the dance floor. It seemed like there was a moment when she actually drifted off. She really had been doing a lot but it wasn't the time to do so. She talked about how she smelled but Aurora was intoxicating. He didn't mention it because she would have gotten big head about it.She was a spoiled Princess but she was smart and useful. If only she acted like that more. She was honestly the first person that he had interacted like that with. She had a very interesting personality an
"Stay in the car," she told Caden as she opened the door.Aurora knew that the best place to go was the underground ring. Chelly would be more than happy to take such an expensive car off her hands and have more than enough ways to deal with it."I don't think that's a good idea." he protested."And I don't want this car getting stolen. Do you see the area we are in right now?""There's no one around.""There's always someone around. Now stay." she got out and closed the door.Like always the street was silent and still but that didn't mean there was no one. It just made it all the more dangerous. Aurora had been jumped a few times
After another ten minutes of sitting in the cafe trying to calm her pounding head, Aurora decided to leave and go drop off the phone. Mitchel lived in a small run-down apartment in the middle city. He got good money for all the work he did or her parents but it all went into crypto or new tech he wanted. He was basically a hermit and although she had only met him a couple of times she could deduce that he was an interesting character.Standing outside of his door she could already smell it. Cringing slightly, she raised her hand and knocked on the door. It took her a full five minutes of impatiently knocking on the door before it was opened.Wrapped in a blanket with messy hair and a very foul smell, Mitchel poked his head through the threshold.
Aurora patted around for her phone on her bed. Her arm swished aimlessly on the fabric as she tried to feel for it but couldn't. Trying a few times, she was able to push herself up from her position so that her torse was on the bed. Finally being able to reach her phone she called her mom."Mom," she croaked into the phone. Her hand trembled trying to keep it up so she just put on speaker and laid it on her bed."Hm, Princess, what is it? We're in the middle of something."They're always in the middle of something."I need help. I don't know what's happening. I think I was drugged."There was silence over the phone for a second. "What?! What do you mean you were drugged?! Where are y
"What is he doing here?"Shocked, Caden and Aurora turn their heads to see her dad sitting on the couch with a book in his hand. The light in the room was dimmed so the two had not seen him when they came in. Since Aurora could not walk she had insisted that Caden carry her on his back to the gate since Mitchel was there."Huh, what are you doing sitting in the dark like a weirdo? Did you have a fight with mom or something?" Aurora asked."I did not have a fight with your mother and stop trying to change the subject. Why is he here? And carrying you?""He's my chauffeur." Aurora smiled at him."And where is he chauffeuring you to?"
Time passed and now there were two weeks until Delta attacked the Fraiser Port. She had tod her parents and they had been making preparations for it. In that time she and Caden spent more time together even though he did not have a lot of information to give her. Usually when something important was about to happen groups would limit their activity and information flowing out.The six higher-ups weren't present at the club anymore. And people from Delta disappeared from the underground. It was the quiet before the storm and Aurora was sure that they would bring their top guys on this. The missing weapons stayed missing and her parents ruled that they stole them to use when they tried to take control of the port.Winning the port would cut off their main source of income so her parents were extremely busy trying to make sure that that di
Aurora froze. She could not see the person fully but their face was prominent. Their eyes rested on hers. She didn't move and just looked at them. Her heart thumped in her chest and she prepared herself to either fight or escape. But then the person just turned their head and walked out of the room.It was a man. He was tall and lean. Dressed casually but he had a gun holstered on his waist. Aurora still kept still and watched him. He could make her lower her guard if he pretended to not do anything and then when she went to move, shoot her.So once he was outside, then did she decide to move. Crouching back down next to Caden she let out a breath, keeping her eyes focused on the outside."What happened?" he asked."Nothing," she mutt
