Gogo had made my favourite soup, and I wasn't going to miss it. "Any news?" Nana asked. Apparently, she couldn't contain herself, and I didn't blame her. I worked on her patience a little. I nodded and remained silent. I knew how impatient my Nana could be, and I felt like playing with her. "So, say it!" she commanded, running out of patience. "Well, Sarki wants us to set a date for the Gaisuwa." Gogo and I and Nana started to squeal with joy. "This is happening." Nana realised with so much joy.

"You don't have to do anything you don't want to." "I know, babe." My face lights up, and my heart races. Nara has never called me babe or any other endearment before. "What?" she looks shy. "You've just never called me that. It felt good," I confess. Nara bites her lower lip, blushing. "We'll be late. Go shower," she urges. "Say it again, please." "Babe, tesoro, querido, Schatz," she says, her tone playful and sexy. I don't know the last two terms, but I'm sure they mean babe in another language. Nara speaks multiple languages, which still impresses me to this day.

My plan was to study abroad with Ezra in Autlia and settle there. When I returned, I had just stepped out of the car when I heard the sounds of destruction inside the villa. As I entered, I saw Nara sitting on the couch. She was sipping coffee while her bodyguards smashed everything in sight. Thinking of my upcoming departure, I felt a rare sense of joy. Smiling at her, I said, "Showing up here every few days, don't you get tired of it, Nara?" Nara snorted coldly. "I'm not the one doing the work, so of course, I'm not tired."

I hear someone call for him back at the warehouse. "You should come inside. Your face is lookin like a tomato out here." I nod and follow him inside the door. The warmth feels so amazing. Why did I even go outside in the first place?? "Guys this is Nara , the Serbian chic." Xavier says to everyone that turned their attention to me. Most have the same surprised reaction. A lot of them start going back to what they were doing. I sit down at the end of a table, facing away from the large entrance.

The wolf howled, and her power detonated, blasting the collectors through walls, through layers of steel and concrete, as if the building itself was nothing. Then—silence, heavy and final. Nyxara stood alone amid the wreckage, breath coming in ragged bursts, blood streaming from the sigil on her side. It wasn’t fatal, but it burned with a promise of more to come. Her rival mate was instantly at her side, voice tight with worry. “They marked you.” “I know,” she snapped, pain sharpening her words. “I fucking feel it.” The displays around them flickered back to life. Across every screen, in brutal white letters, a message blazed:

It was beautiful, and everything anyone would wish for, but it felt incomplete without Nara; nothing about it felt right. Sage didn't seem bothered or concerned that we took our wolf forms and shut them out. We stopped by a small stream and I drank from it, satisfying the thirst that clung to me since we began racing. I fell on my paws, gazing into the sky, whilst I tried to reach Nara. *Nara I am sorry.* *Please come back, I promise I won't shut you out, or slut shame you.* *It doesn't have to be like this, I feel incomplete without you. Please Nara.*

NARAYA “Are you going to lock yourself in there forever?” “He has clearly decided he doesn't want you in his life. Why are you pushing it!” “Hi, this is Pedro. Call me when you get my message.” “Michael's health is at it again. Send some money.” “Hi sweetheart, I'm sorry I wasn't at the Alpha's homecoming ceremony. Naomi sends her regards. Thanks for covering her tuition fees.” “Naraya darling, this is Melissa. I got your cell line from Roger. I haven't seen you after the ceremony. Hope all is well with you? I miss you. XoXo.” Accompanied by a kiss emoji.

Anaya’s POV “Mama Non voglio sposarmi” “What?” she looked at me like I was crazy “Please, Mama, I don’t want to get married” “That is not for you to decide. You will get married” “Fine, but please not to him”, I pleaded. “That is also not your choice. Everything is finalised.” “Please, Mum, I do not wish to marry him,” I said, tears pouring out of my eyes, my head bowed.

Her face was cheeky. "He's carribean too, no?" Ryan looked at me, picking up some chicken off my plate. "Yeah, Jamaican." "Am I going to get some great grandbabies?!" Nan danced, both me and Ryan laughing at her. "Ask him! He's older than me!" I pointed at Ryan.

"I hate you so much. And I don't want to see your face again!"
