Mated to the Night Wolf
I look desperately at the shadow as if it is the only one that can save me, scanning its empty eyes, and then lowers to the bruised skin that it keeps, stopping at the ones across her shoulder.
My throat scratches and my eyes scan downwards as it shows me its hands, quite the same as the ones I felt in hers, scarred and bruised.
I breathe out tightly, unable to mask the rage that snarls inside me, a grit in my jaw as my eyes flash back to her.
She stares back at me with eyes of sadness, though her eyes remain the obsidian of endless night.
"Show me," I urge in a low husky whisper.
Her shadow carries the weight of her soul.
