Scary Gifs Jumpscare Novels & Stories

The couch dipped as Logan sat, and I joined him, an arm’s length away. Our selection, a scary movie, was Logan’s idea—a genre I confessed to having a soft spot for, despite my nerves tonight. The opening credits rolled, and the lights of the living room dimmed, leaving only the flicker of the TV screen to cut through the darkness. The eerie music soon crept up the walls, and the first jumpscare sent a jolt through my body. My hands flew to my face, shielding my eyes. I could hear Logan’s chuckle next to me, a sound that should’ve been comforting but instead was a reminder of the dangerous game I was playing.

Just drifting away from everything until I was — The car was thrown into brakes unexpectedly and I almost collided with the windshield despite having my seat belt strapped on. I thought we had narrowly missed a vehicle or an animal but when I peeled my terrified eyes open, horrified at the thought of killing someone or something, I saw that there was no one there. Not roadkill, not a fallen log. The road was free. “What the fuck?! Are you trying to get us killed?” I shouted, my heart pounding heavily with fear and adrenaline from the jump scare, glaring at Jin’s blank profile. “Fucking answer me!”

"Of course not. We can handle this, we are not scaredy cats like you, it's nothing just a normal movie, so we are fine." Susan nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we've seen scarier things, so there is no way that this simple movie would scare us, if you're scared, then admit it." Just as they exchanged confident glances, a sudden, spine-chilling jump scare jolted them all. Luna and Susan let out simultaneous shrieks, clutching onto each other with wide eyes. Zayn couldn't help but chuckle at their reaction. "Really, no fear at all, huh?"

Their attention was brought back to Rey when they heard his quivering voice say, “I-it was so terrifying, Mr. Crawford…!” Looking at Rey’s fearful expression, Gerald then frowned slightly as he asked, “What is? What did you see?” “Yeah, I mean, there doesn’t seem to be anything around…” muttered Juno who was feeling just as bewildered as Gerald was. Still, both of them were sure that whatever had scared Rey wasn’t a ghost. After all, the duo couldn’t sense the presence of ghosts at all.

Grayson was surprised, but he decided to ignore the warning and continued staring at Belle's phone. Suddenly, a horrifying jump scare appeared from the screen, startling him to the point of almost throwing the phone away. The animated image depicted a ghost with bleeding eyes, nose, and mouth, its terrifying gaze seemingly targeting those attempting to access Belle's phone. Gathering his composure, Grayson scrolled down, encountering more eerie images before reaching a password-protected lock screen. Despite trying various passwords, none proved correct.

“Okay, okay. I believe you’re not scared anymore.” I quickly pulled away from her and shifted back to my original spot. But my yelps and gasps seemed to amuse her, widening her smile even further. Why was she so calm? Wasn’t she scared by what we were watching? Minutes passed, and with each jump scare, I found myself bouncing beside Poppy, gripping her tightly. It wasn’t part of the plan, but I just couldn’t help myself—horror movies were my weakness.

He really could not stop himself from calling her names. I was okay with horror movies but when there were a jump scene, I jump and scream at the same time. Thank God, I was not the only scardy cat there. He managed to calm me down and I was practically glued to him. No wonder these men loved it when they watch horror movies with ladies. "You were not that bad while watching horror movies." He was holding me from my shoulder. "Not bad? I was on my worst behavior today. You chose a movie that had most jumpscare. So, what are we going to do at the gaming zone?"

Sally scoffed. "Whatever?" I scoffed too and made my gaze back to him, his lips parted "Yes, what?" Rupert growls, bending down closer to my face, and his scary face was just an inch to my face, what is he doing, is he trying to scare me, his face is really scary when it's so close and I know I should be afraid, but something deep within me tells me not to fear this silly old man that is in front of me, trying to scare me with his face, what is thinking that everyone will cower at his sight, fine, I know his sight is something that could make other wolf cower but this stubborn she-wolf in front of him never

Cole asked. “Horror.” Cole visibly paled. Yup Cole is scared of horror movies. He screams like a little girl every time a ghost appears on the screen. We all laughed out loud but we still watched ‘Anabelle creation’ with Cole screaming now and then. He had his hands over his eyes throughout the movie. He was watching the movie from the gaps of his fingers. When the movie ended it was already past eleven. We climbed the stairs to our rooms with the guys stopping on the second floor and me climbing to the third floor to my room. The door of the room before me was slightly ajar and weird noises were coming out of it.
