With such a blank face, this man was talking to her about horror movies and ghost stories in a cemetery! Suddenly, she felt she was wrong about something. Today was not just an unlucky day for her; it was a disastrous day! Seeing Hailey’s pale face, Travis Blake’s anger instantly disappeared. “I think there’s something behind you,” he snapped. This made Hailey nervous. She found it difficult to breathe as goosebumps spread across her arms. She let out a scream and quickly wrapped all her limbs around Travis Blake’s body like a sticky octopus.

“Story!” I couldn’t help but smile. “You want a story?” I asked, stifling a laugh. The children nodded excitedly. “The wolf story!” one of them exclaimed. “We want to hear the wolf story again!” How could I refuse? The ‘wolf story’ in question was one that I had made up yesterday on the spot, a story about a rogue wolf chasing a little girl. It was a scary story that had made the children gasp, their eyes wide with fear, but they seemed to love it.

He laughed. “Boring, old tricks Viviene?” he asked. Then I was turned by mommy, she yelled at me to run and hid in my room. And I did, I never saw her so scared and angry. As I ran I saw some more bodies full of blood. I slipped and fell on it. Before me, was lying Rony, my best friend. He was looking at me but not seeing. Then I saw his mouth red. Screaming I closed the door to my room.

Jasper's heart was racing, he could have turned away from her but it was as if she's explaining what he has been curious about. "Ok Jasper, that cabin isn't a normal cabin, there's a book y'all shouldn't come across, you all should never read it, if you can get it before your friends, you all would be safe and never come back to the cabin, right now, the other ghosts wouldn't let you rest, especially my mother" she brushed a strand of her hair away.

She didn't want to hear anymore of the frightening story. "Don't tell me you're all scared. It's a myth, I made it up!" John smirked, his eyes gazing at the scared faces of his girlfriend and friends. "Ha ha ha, scared? I've never been scared of anything in my life!" Rocky roared in laughter as he rose from the ground. "Scary stories don't scare me. I'm gonna pee!" He uttered still grinning. "Don't wander far into the woods, you never know who you'll meet." John warned in a playful but spooky voice.

Because I’m an idiot, for one thing, and I really didn’t want to be perusing shops. “Can’t you tell me anything?” I handed over my father’s scrawled measurements for her to copy down. “If you don’t want to, it’s fine, but you know…” I shrugged, looking sheepish as she rolled her eyes. “It might not seem like it, but I can take no for an answer.” “Except for when you want to know spooky stuff?” Sarah chuckled, her nervous countenance breaking. “Well, I only know a few stories told at school. So, take them with a pinch of salt.”
