Tahun 2042 berita mengenai ‘bencana besar akan datang’ muncul di berbagai media. Menanggapi hal itu, seluruh negara melakukan segala upaya untuk mengantisipasi ‘bencana yang akan datang’ tersebut. Salah satunya ialah membangun bungker raksasa. Alhasil, tiga tahun kemudian, umat manusia pun mulai melanjutkan kehidupan serta peradaban di bawah permukaan bumi.

Apa yang bisa dilakukan seseorang yang bisa mengubah semua benda menjadi emas? Tentu dia memiliki kekayaan yang membuatnya bisa melakukan segalanya dan menjadikannya sebagai Sang Penguasa Dunia. Profesor Morati adalah ilmuwan yang pintar. Dengan kepintarannya itu, dia berhasil membuat alat yang bisa mengubah benda menjadi emas. Namun dia dikhianati oleh rekannya sendiri, Richard. Rekannya itu ingin menguasai sendiri alat ciptaan sang profesor. Dia lalu merampas alat itu dan menahan sang profesor. Beruntung Profesor Morati telah menitipkan keempat anaknya di tempat yang aman. Dan kelak, dengan kemampuan istimewa yang mereka miliki, keempat anak tersebut yang membebaskan ayahnya dari tahanan dan membalas pengkhianatan itu.

Ia sadar, semua hal berharga dalam hidupnya sudah tidak ada. Ia sadar, bahwa apa yang ia lakukan bertahun-tahun lalu, akan berakhir seperti ini. Namun apa daya seorang gadis muda yang hanya ingin membuat semuanya baik-baik saja. Yang ia tau, di dalam lubuk hatinya hanya ada tekad untuk terus berjuang.
