He put HOW TO STOP TIME by MATT HAIG, followed by EVERGREEN by NAOMI HIRAHARA. "Then KISS THE GIRLS by JAMES PATTERSON." He put it next to the first book. "I've read that." I went on in a spur of excitement. "It's a thriller and mystery novel about a detective who's trying to track down a serial killer. So many twists and cliffhangers. Total page-turner." I giggled.

Her eyes sparkled as she spoke. “I've read all the classic science fiction authors, of course. Asimov, HG Wells, Frank Herbert. I especially love science fiction when it intersects with horror. The books are organised into categories that reveal an understanding of my interests I never thought anyone could possess. I glance at Chase, whose playful grin matches my own. “We figured we would organise it for you,” Chase says, his tone light-hearted as he gestures towards the shelves. “Here’s your alien collection. Over here, we’ve got your ghosts, demons, and other supernatural stuff. And this section is dedicated to mafia and motorcycle stories. Should I keep going?”
