Suddenly a mischievous idea came to mind,I grinned taking out the fake robot chrockroaches I made, how about a little prank. I tiptoed to Stacey's room opening the door gently I peeped in to see if she was awake. After making sure she was asleep, I stepped into the room, i gently walked closer to her bed,, lifted her shirt and dropped the chrockroach on her back then left the room. I did the same to Erick and Jace before turning on the robots with the little remote in my hand The chrockroaches began crawling all over their bodies while they woke with a start, they started screaming trying to get the fake bugs of their bodies while I rolled in laughter

As soon as Tod got angrily up a giant scorpion type bug came out the ground and attacked him. "Shit." Aries said. Yes shit was right the thing was huge and it was trying to basically squash Tod with it's stinger. As I looked around I noticed little holes that were all around. I looked back at the hole it just came out of and winced. It was like as soon as the scorpion was fully out on the surface, the hole went back to rabbit size. As I looked around I seen at least 100 holes.

Her impromptu plan was successful but when she’s on the air, a very strong big wave of sand slap her that made her cover with the sand. While Keiynan is also trying to use his power, too, to escape but it was still useless because when he nearly actually escapes, although he give all his strength but the sand grabs his feet and slam him on the ground that made the prince weak and feeling losing his vision. Then an enormous explosion of sand from underneath rise up likes a thrown bomb. A giant gold fading brown with an eighth legs and a pair of grasping pedipalps and the narrow-segmented tail, often carried in a characteristic forward curve over the back, ending with a venomous stinger. . . Ithra seemed to perceive it because her nose scrunched up in disgust. “What is that smell,” She said to no one in particular, “Perhaps there’s a dead body somewhere,” I suggested, looking around. “Or a dead scorpion,” Ithra said, and I looked back at her, confusion clad in my looks. “What do you mean dead-” My eyes nearly fell off their sockets when I saw an army of black scorpions headed for us. “What the hell,” I swore, taking out my blade. “They are everywhere!” Came the panicked voice of Ithra.

Dear my beloved readers, I know this part of the story will upset some of you, but I think making mistakes is an essential part of character development. If you have read my first book Disgraceful, you should have known that the hero is also fatally flawed. However I hope Matthew's mistakes don't make him irredeemable and eventually you'll be able to forgive him. Enjoy this chapter, and please be warned that this chapter contains mature themes. Pelin seethed. The sand rumbled again beneath our feet, louder this time. “Now run!” I screamed, grabbing Pelin’s hand and clasping it tight. She didn’t hesitate anymore. We took off across the dunes, boots sinking into the shifting ground, breath ragged from the heat. Behind us, the sand cracked open with a deep, thunderous roar. Scorpio the massive scorpion emerged from the depths, crawling forward on its grotesque, skeletal limbs. Its long, spindly legs moved with a disturbing rhythm, each step sending a shiver down my spine. It didn’t attack right away, no, that would’ve been too merciful.

I couldn't believe that the young man who once refused to let me shed a single tear was now breaking my heart and making me cry over and over again. The last bit of my love for him completely faded away. I went back inside my room. Just as I'd lie down, I suddenly saw that Jasper had just received a message on his communication device. "Dr. Curran, another base camp has already located the person who first invented the water detection device. They're on their way to bring the inventor back. Please find the new water source and return before they bring the inventor to their base."

"Fiona, pick me. I can give you a better life. Haven't you always wanted a new tablet? I'll get you one tomorrow." Mom noticed her shivering, took off her scarf, and wrapped it around her gently. "Fiona, you should stay with me. If your dad remarries, what will you do with a stepmother?" And just like that, they started arguing again. I stood in the corner, forgotten. A strange sense of awkwardness crept up on me, so I pulled up the zipper of my school jacket. The thin, faded fabric did nothing against the cold, and the wind slipped right through.

She giggled, leaned in, and pressed the half-filled glass into mine before slipping back into the crowd. “Don’t—” Andrew barked, but too late. I had already tilted the glass back and gulped it all. The bitter liquid burned my throat, but I swallowed it down, desperate for something, anything, to wash away the lump in my chest. Andrew snatched the empty glass from my hand, his expression dropping. For the first time, I saw something in his eyes that scared me more than his anger. Fear. Why was he afraid? Then I felt it.

Out of curiosity, Lars levitated to grab it. "What is it?" Sophia asked. "I don't know, it's a... book." It was a red covered notebook, containing names, dates, a picture and short profiles. There were a mix of men and women with different ages and professions. Lars wasn't sure what these meant until he showed it to Sophia. She seemed to recognize some of the faces in the book, and it made her horrified of something. "These are... deceased Scions." Lars could felt his heart stopped. "W - What? Are you sure?"
