Scorched

Scorched

She squeezed it two more times before dropping it in the water close to her chest. Leaning back and relaxing, she let her hands drop on either side of the bath tub. Her left hand reached out for the bottle of wine which laid just below the tub and she lifted it up. Deciding not to bother refilling the now empty glass, she brought the bottle to her lips and tipped her head backward, gulping the red liquid down in a rush. She choked and coughed, placed the bottle down and chuckled sadly. "Omar, I'm really sorry." Hiccup. "I'm really really sorry. But I needed this break, at least I thought that was what I needed.... Bit I miss you terribly...."

Scent of Danger

Scent of Danger

Mathin parried. And suddenly Scy was there, a katana-like energy blade weaving like St. Elmo’s fire, interfering with the monster’s blade and luring it away while Mathin freed himself. Balanced on one foot, Mathin withdrew his own gun and stood ready to aid should Scy need it.

SCARLET VENGEANCE

SCARLET VENGEANCE

In the rhythmic beat of the music, I found fleeting comfort, a temporary escape from the ache in my chest. The pulsing rhythm filled the air, heightening As the dance floor beckoned, I stumbled onto its chaotic stage, becoming a mere silhouette in the sea of pulsating lights. The music became a distorted lullaby, easing the pain momentarily. A mysterious stranger, like a shadow emerging from the haze, locked eyes with me, drawing me into an unexplainable connection that transcended the blurred reality. In my intoxicated state, liquid courage surged through my veins, dulling the inhibitions that would have held me back. The stranger's gaze seemed to pull at the very essence of my being, and w

Three Scars:Betrayed by the Don

Three Scars:Betrayed by the Don

The scent of antiseptic on me seemed to calm it. I expertly soothed the dog, snipped the fur around the wound, cleaned it, sutured it, and bandaged it. "There, all better," I said, stroking the Doberman's head. It licked my hand gently. "Looks like Zeus likes you. That's a first." A deep, magnetic male voice came from the doorway. I stood up and saw a tall man. He wore a dark grey trench coat, his shoulders damp with rain. He had messy brown curls, and his features were strong and handsome, but his most striking feature was his eyes—as green as an Irish forest after a storm.

The Twelve Scions

The Twelve Scions

Pixies and dryads were huddled together in fear from the hovering stings and probing tentacles. The enemy leader, a Prime Chimera, turned to the three Scions with wide, taunting smile that bared his fangs. It was shaped like a large, hunched bat with silver scales all over its body. The bat leaped forward and made an ugly screech to the Scions. "We've been expecting you, Scions." His voice was rough and strained. "Why, thank you. So let's get to it, shall we?" Rachelia smiled, and flicked her wrist.

S.I.X

S.I.X

There was a dragon tattooed down his whole back. Looked so lifelike. I was half expecting it to start moving. My eyes trailed further down to his lower back, where the letters S.I.X were inscribed. So wait six isn't actually a number, but an acronym? He turned slightly, enough for me to get a view of his front, but not for him to see me standing there.

Scarlet

Scarlet

And they prohibited most of the abilities that make me a demon from usage. I nickname the man Jerk, although my clairvoyance told me he is a regular human nicknamed Jackal. I don’t know what business he has with Scarlet, but she is allowing him to flip up her skirt under the covered table, which I can see from the table behind. His left-hand glides down her skirt and feels her bare bottom. She is wearing a lacy thong that matches her bra and while seeing the lace gives me a reaction; I am jealous that someone else, instead of me, has his dirty fingers touching her intimate parts.

Scales and Scars

Scales and Scars

This man almost doubled his muscle mass. His dark brown hair had subtle streaks of red throughout. His eyes were green with hints of gold. They were the most amazing things I had ever seen. Looking at him made my heart pound. His eyes were focused on mine as he held my gaze. The scar on the left side of his neck was faded, the sight of it enraged me. I didn’t know why I was so upset about him being hurt. I felt myself begin to get lost in his eyes when my mind snapped me out of it.

Beautiful story! Loved the characters and the plot. I am not sure you can correct errors after the book is complete but be conscious of errors. They are very distracting. Looking forward to reading James's story when you have progressed a bit.
